Just as the subject says. Randomly, my sound will die out while running some application, be it playing mp3's, watching movies, or playing games. Its really annoying. All of a sudden it'll just die out and go BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP, and it won't stop unless i restart. This has happened about 15 times within the past 8 hours. its REALLY annoying.
I'm running the onboard sound for my MSi K7T Pro2-A mobo, AC97 sound or something.
Is it a driver issue? And if so, i haven't been able to find any updates for it, i'm using the latest i could find. Or is it a hardware issue? I kinda don't wanna have to buy a new Sound Card.
