Absent first hand info, this sounds about right. I scored two free tickets and am going Monday night. I'll report back. I hope it's "cleaner" and "truer" than just some right wing BS, because child trafficking is an abomination.
It's hard to find much on this outside of far-right media but an HHS "whistleblower" supported by Project Veritas is claiming that unaccompanied children migrants into the US are actually victims of a complicated human trafficking scheme.
Now unfortunately, I do not doubt that some of this is occurring, although probably not on the scale being sensationalized and I would doubt that there is any direct govt involvement (besides incompetence).
But certainly it is likely that "sponsors" are encouraging poor parents in Central America to sell their children up north and that they are trafficked to America with these "sponsors" acting as family members already in the US.
The solution to this IMO should be better vetting of sponsors and stricter enforcement of child labor and human trafficking laws.
The far-right solution I expect though is going to be more cries to close the border to migrants.

Unfortunately it's rapidly not becoming much of a choice. In the early 2000s less than half of new homes were in a HOA. Now more than 70% of new homes are in a HOA and it keeps going up every year. And 82% of homes sold in 2021 were in an HOA. If you need to buy a home in an up and coming area within commuting distance of work with good schools (because you can't afford the older established area closest to work with good schools) chances are it's a HOA or you gotta find a town farther away and probably with worse schools. Sure exceptions exist but 70+% of new homes is crazy high
