I'm thinking about buying a new soundcard (most probably SoundBlaster Audigy 5.1)
as well as a great soundsystem with it...

I use sound for mostly everything, mp3/games/divx/dvd.. anything

My first tough was DTT3500 from cambridge, but it's a bit expensive
I tried reading some reviews but it's pretty hard to tell what kind of system I'd really enjoy... theres some that cost 100$ that "looks" just like another one witch cost 500$.. I really cant find out what would be good :\

Plz help

***EDIT***
Yea I'd sure want to get a full use of my audigy, a 5.1 speakers..
I'd be able to put hmm.. lets say 350$ CDN.. shipped..tax..etc..
BTW if u guys know where to buy it as well, It'd be great, cuz I live in damn canada

**RE-EDIT**
Hey I've been looking at the Yamaha TSS-1, it looks pretty good, for me
anandtech reviews tell it lacks some power, and it'd be perfect for a small room (I have a small room )
Price isnt too much, and I can buy it not far from here, so no shipping cost...
What you guys think about it??? heu? Yamaha TSS-1?

What would be the MAX price you'd be willing to spend on a system? Do u want a 5.1 system to go with your Audigy or would a 4.1 system suffice?

You definitely need the audigy with the Klipsch Pro-media speakers. You will have one sweet set up when you do that.

Try this site for reviews of speakers:

http://www.3dsoundsurge.com

Personally, for that price range I'd reccomend either the logitec z-540's (I think you can find them for about 160-180 american?) or the Monsoon MM2000 (230 american + shipping?). Those are both 4.1 systems, but I think for the most part those are adaquate.

If you don't mind a system that's a bit sloppy compared to the Monsoons or a high end system like Crossfires, the Klipsch 4.1's are pretty good and the 5.1's are excellent.

Either way, that site has a bunch of reviews of different systems and also cards, and they're much more factual and objective than a lot of other computer audio sites I've been to. Read a few - I'm sure you'll get some idea of what you want.
Cheers,

Oops, you had a typo, duck, its the Logitech z560's (the z-540's are about $80 american, and not as good as the z560's)
