Everyone-
Trying to setup a HTPC, hoping this is the correct forum to post.
I have an A7N8X Deluxe and an Orig AIW Radeon. I have read almost everything on this and am just stuck!
I have all my "windows" sound pumping out of the onboard S/Pdif port to an Inspire Digital 5500. This uses the RCA Coaxial connection. Everything is great there.
The problem is with the ATI AIW card. I can not hear any audio through the TV app. I have read before that this is an issue, but I can't find the source! I have plugged in the Line in Cable, and also have an Aux connection from the Video card to the Mobo Aux connection. In order to get sound to pump out of the app is to use the Time shifting ability. This makes sense because it's encoded and played back; therefore it will pump out of the S/Pdif audio.
Now another problem is recording feature either through the scheduler or straight from the app. I thought I had that working, don't know how but now it's not working. Last time I used it I could say months.
I have gone through all my audio connections making sure nothing is muted and tried enabling the analog portion of it. I have run out of resources and was hoping the helpful community could share some light into my dark corner.
I was hoping I could pump the audio through another channel, say the Mic or even to my digital box that the speakers come with. Using the line in on my digital box works!... but I would like to use the pc features so that I can skip any switching on my speaker side and of course record the audio when I want to record a TV show. Plus I would like to double the stereo sound to pump audio out of the back speakers too, it should be possible.
If you have links, please post! I?ve been searching for days now. And any AIW users out there, any answers, please reply!
Thank you all for your consideration in reading this post and thank you again for any replies.

PS: I am looking to getting a MN31N shuttle board, nice price and have a box for the HTPC; any shuttle users with experience with that board all posts will be appreciated!
