Dang, I just got tickets last night and was looking for a promo code online since I saw the field on their reservations page. Wish I would have seen this last night. Oh well, good for next time.

BTW, it works before you even put in your Rapid Rewards number. Therefore, without acutally going through a purchase, I think anyone can use this.

You go to southwest.com and enter the promo code before you submit your itenerary.

Got my tickets to Long Island for $180...not to shabby, would have been $208

Southwest has a very liberal cancel policy. you could cancel your reservation and your funds would still be available for future travel. you don't have to pay an extra fee to cancel or change either. you may be able to cancel and then rebook.

I had reservations for the 1st weekend in May on Southwest. I checked to see what the price would be using the coupon and it gave me a $42 savings. I canceled my original reservations and made new ones with the coupon. Thanks for a great post. That is a nice deal.

I told my Mom about this promo 2 days after she bought her tickets.
She simply called the 800 number and told them she just got an email promo code
and would like to apply it to her tickets she already bought.
She had to cancel the first tickets online, buy the new tickets with the promo code online and then
call the 800 number again with both confirmation numbers and the costs difference and they
credited her card back.

Thank you very much. My Mom saved $52 because of this thread.
