Thanks, I was drunk and wasn't really expecting to hang out with girls or be in pictures until 1am that night when we arrived. For what its worth, I gel it, mess it forward, and flip it up in the front.

Yeah, no one in the back was really all that old, and no one seemed to care. We weren't ridiculously loud. But we did have a few people ask if we worked for SW when we collected the garbage.

Yeah. Looks like fun, but if SW Airlines ever sees these pictures, those flight attendants are fired.

I think I'll be dropping them when this thread dies down just for that reason.

What a coincidence. Yesterday I was reading a forum when a SW stewardess posted something about one of her flights where she had to humor some drunken idiots who thought ultimate frisbee was still cool. She even got the morons to do her work for her.

that could have been an epic parody, you should have gone with it. Actually we thought we got hosed since it took about 5 days for them to hook us up with the pics. I figured they do this all the time so we're just another dumb group of guys to do their bidding and wind of up their camera.

On a side note, how did you do in the tournament? I play a course out here in Santa Barbara, far from being a professional though. What's your average score on a 18 hole course?

Ultimate frisbee (like soccer with a frisbee) not disc golf.

Yeah, sorry, ultimate frisbee is not disc golf. We are a traveling co-ed club team that went to Poultry Days in Indiana (flew into Columbus), we did well, but we really just went up for a good time, not to compete.

Ultimate

There's the first youtube video I found. Its the 2008 CSTV College Championship Highlights. Might give you a better idea of what ultimate frisbee is.

you know, One of my roommates a few years ago was the top player in the country at the time (member of Jinx, also the NCAA national champions that year....you prolly know who I'm talking about if you go back a few years.) Also hung out with one of the founders of the sport, who is also regarded as the number one Ultimate player ever. They all are/were living in the Raleigh area at the time. Nice people.

Raleigh is about where it all began. Jinx is from NCSU, right? The first college team actually came from Davidson, the team they have now isn't all that impressive as the game has morphed from a fun loving happy go lucky sport to a game of hardcore athletes out to win. Its the classic ultimate struggle between good spirit and good play. Even though its a college sport it isn't an NCAA sport. It has to remain a club sport until they figure out just what to do with the officiating.

A great game though still and yeah, no doubt in my mind they were nice people. Some of the best people I've ever met have been on ultimate fields. This last event was actually a 27th annual 2 day event in Versailles, OH. 48 teams and 25 fields and we camped for 2 days. Didn't get a wink of sleep, it was ridiculous fun.

People, THERE ARE HOT FLIGHT ATTENDANTS LEFT IN THE WORLD!!!!!

Seriously, fly an Asian airline -- I think the best was Japan Airlines between them, All Nippon, China Air, and Korean Airlines, but all of them were LIGHTYEARS ahead of US airlines. Air France wasn't bad at all, either.

JAL had some amazing looking women, though, getting back to the overall point. The thing with the Asian airlines, at least as I understand it, is that the women do not approach the job as anything but a temporary thing. They join when they're young and gorgeous then get married and stop working to have babies. So, you don't have the old crones working the routes until arthritis forces them into retirement.

Yeah I'm sure its viewed differently with each culture. We all remember the mantra behind the classic airline hoopla in the US back in the day: Pilots were pimps, flying was for the elite, and stewardesses were super hot. I can see that stronger than ever in countries elsewhere.

Say what you want about the airline, but I'll be damned if you don't see me checking southwest before I check any other airline for flights from here on out. Here's the story:

My team and I were flying to Ohio for an ultimate frisbee tournament. By the time we got on the plane we were already three beers into it. The flight crew member that greeted us at the door was smoking hot. For an airline attendant she's a 10\10, so we're pretty happy about that and make it known. Halfway down the plane we see another 10\10 and then finish with a hat trick when we see a 10\10 waiting in the back of the plane. We knew it was going to be a good flight.

They ended up being a lot of fun. It was a late flight, the last one for them, so they were having a good time. We ordered a few beers on the plane and finally ended up walking to the back to talk to them all. The back of the plane turned into a goofy photo shoot and we eventually asked them what it would take to get free beers. They said we'd have to work for them, so they gave us their aprons and we collected trash on the plane for them. They even announced to the cabin that Mr Pickles and Mr Pickle's Team Captain, Southwest Interns, will be walking down the aisles to collect all garbage. It was great.

We hung out with them the rest of the flight and talked to them a bit afterward. They got our email and it took about 5 days but they emailed us the pics they took. Life's good.

Cliffs:
- Got on airplane
- Hot flight attendants were really fun
- Took funny pics
- Got free beers for collecting trash on the plane for them

IIRC, the "founders" actually started it up in the Bronx area, I think...well, that's where Dobbins is from, anyway. A couple of them eventually moved to Raleigh, though, which is probably what set a good foundation for the NCSU club team, and the local semi-pro teams in the area. And yeah, the guys I knew were die-hard jocks. My roommate actually turned down a baseball scholarship at one school b/c their physics program was shite, then went to NCSU. He more or less stumbled into the Ultimate world. I think a lot of his buddies had reputations for being dicks on the field, but they were pretty decent people to hang with. That was back when Jinx beat UC Santa-Barbara, who were the perennial champs in those days (not that "those days" was so long ago, hah).

But I haven't followed any of it in maybe 6 years. I never played it with an actual organized team, though it was my favorite pick-up game. We actually played it in grade school on the playground. I'm still surprised that so many people grew up never hearing about the game, but I guess we got exposed to it at a young age b/c there was that influence in the area...

Man, if only I could've gotten pictures of the flight attendant when I flew to Texas... LORD. 5'10" italian girl, curly brown hair, piercing green eyes, model figure, gorgeous. It was almost painful being cooped up in the plane with her, as the gf was next to me.

I was flying back from Florida a little while ago on Southwest and had an awesome time with the flight crew. It was the last flight out, and it was me and about 10 other people on the 737, so it was fricking empty. We were all business travelers, all male surprisingly, no kids or parents or any of that.

The safety demonstration was the best long running joke in the history of safety demonstrations. Stuff like 'the seat cushion can be used as a flotation device, but if we go down in water you will be dead anyway, so go ahead and screw like bunnies as we are going down' and awesome stuff like that. For the oxy mask, the guy said to put it on the child first, and the female flight attendant (average looks, not smoking hot or anything) got down on her knees and said 'please daddy can I have the breathing mask' and the guy said ,'no, screw you, there are too many kids flying into and out of Orlando, so one less screaming kid in the air is a good thing' and we all started laughing our asses of.

Stuff like that went on for a bunch of the flight, it got pretty raunchy at times. (not like all the way penthouse though ) It was awesome. The flight was the most fun I had in the air. Seriously, no joke, this really did happen.

Who says?

Just not during takeoff and landing. When the pilot says, you can use electronic devices that do not transmit, I think you are just fine with a camera.

Sounds like an awesome flight. I've only had one opportunity to kick it with stewardesses but they tend to be pretty cool from what I've seen. Not too bad.

What's with all the hate in this thread? This guy went on a plane and ended up having a fucking photoshoot with the stewardesses. I don't give a shit if they are 10s or not - they're all decent and they gave him free beer. Everyone STFU.

Southwest ftw.

Looks like you had a great time!

I just flew Southwest for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely the most laid back and fun flight attendants and staff I have ever encountered on any airline. And peanuts! They still serve peanuts.

The flights were on time (actually we left before we were scheduled to), and smooth. I will fly SW again.
