I Have This Board, My Wife Got It For My Birthday, BIG DISApPOINTMENT.

WARNING, DO NOT BUY THIS BOARD!
If You Do, For Gods Sake, Don't flash It With The (OverClocked) Bios On SOYO's site, You'll Never Flash It Again.

This Board Is A Waste Of Time and Money. Check This Thread.

This Board Has A Buggy Bios For starters, Then There Is The Tech support, Email is The Only Way To Get A (Stupid) Reply, Like, It Must Be The ram, NOT, or , It Must Be The CPU, NOT, It's There Buggie Bios.

And , Don't Even Try The Phone, Unless You Got Alot Of Time, And don't Mind Paying The Phone Co. On Payments.....

This sounds Harse, But I Don't want anybody Else To Suffer The Pain i have With this Board.
I Will Be Buying The (Abit AT7 Max) And Using The Platnium For A Frisbee....

No Reason Not to Work, It Won't Even Load XP Unless You Set The Bios To FAILSAFE

Ok, I don't understand your post. Did you flash your motherboard to the new bios?

Did the motherboard work before flashing it? What about RMA or did you fubar your chances of that by flashing it and voiding the warranty?

Just about two days ago a couple of freinds and myself threw together a similar computer, and had absolutly no problems with it. In fact I thought that the Soyo Dragon Platinum was one of the better boards I've worked with, although we did not flash the bios at all. Did your motherboard work before you flashed it? Becuase I've heard nothing (before now) about, and did not experience any problems while going through the bios the first time (or any time after that)..


But I guess to each his own...I think your best bet whould be to RMA it. I do think that flashing it would viod the warrenty..

Ill agree with the poster, the platinums are somewhat buggy out of the box. Ive built about 10 and none of them have been flawless installs, and even 1 doa. The regular dragon ive done prolly bout 30-40 no major problems and most install flawless.

also you said the BIOS was overclocked? WTH did you even attempt to flash a BIOS with an already overclocked one? that's just asking for a headache. it's like writing a shoot me sign and putting it on your forehead and walking into the woods during deer hunting season in west verginia while wearing a reindeer costume from christmas.

In All Fairness, I'm Sure Soyo Will Get The Bios Fixed. And It Will Become A Good Board, (fingers-Crossed) But Still, What A Disappointment.

And I Would Use It For A Frisbee Before I Would Try A RMA!!! From SOYO

And Purchased A New Flash Chip With The Latest Flash On It For $20.00.

If Anybody Needs Bios Help, I Highly Reccomend This Guy, He Felt My Pain, And In A Few Days I'll Be Back To Trying it Again.

From What I Know So far, The board Works Fine As Long As You Don't Use The 166mhz FSB, So The Slower CPU's Would Work Just Fine, But I Have The 2100xp CPU, So The 166mhz bit Me.

I Guess It's Become A Love/Hate Thing Now With This Board.
I Use To Always Wait A Year or Two before Buying Anything, It Seems Like Everything Is Buggy At First Theses Days...

I Just Found Sooo Many Great Reviews, (that's why i got it) That I Wanted To Warn Buyer's That It's Got It's Problems Too.....

Where did you buy it? Can't you just RMA it and ask them if they can cross-ship? IMO, buying a BIOS chip for $20 is a waste, especially when the mobo is new. You could have used that money for somethng else.
