My gut feeling is that Newegg knows that something is going to hit the fan soon with Soyo, and they're trying to head it off at the pass, at least for those that purchased through Newegg, so as to prevent them from becoming not just ex-Soyo customers, but ex-Newegg customers as well. It's good customer-service that they are being pro-active about it. I didn't buy any of those Soyo FAR boards, but I know that my local Microcenter was pushing them pretty heavily too, and I think TD was also selling them.

What are you talking about pro active, 2 months ago I tried to return this worthless soyo mb after reading horror stories of people not being able to make it work and lousy non-existent soyo support, they said no way, we cannot take it back, unopened and brand new, newegg is a part of the problem along with soyo

Also remember this mb was posted front page in number 1 spot on neweggs site for several weeks, they were fully using all there available marketing skills to push people into this non-deal

To let u guys know, I also received that newegg email. I called the # and told my "rebates" aren't in the system and got lost in the mail. (The typical excuse). I was told to contact luisb <luisb@verifyrebate.com> and he'll handle it.
So I sent him a email and got this response.... Hopefully I'll get my rebates.

According to our record, we did not receive your rebate request. If you
believe your mail was lost or misdirected, please contact your mail carrier

However, I may able to help you if you will sent
1) a copy of your correct rebate form (forms)
2) a copy of invoice or packing list or receipt
3) a copy of UPC Barcode

I will make sure to process your rebate request within 3 weeks after receive

Neweggs response about the Soyo Rebate problem

If you have not recieved any response from Soyo, and no response from Luis B, your next step would be to resubmitt your rebate documents to the address below. Our contact within Soyo has given us this information to forward to our customers. I'm not sure as to what the problem Soyo is experiencing, however if the rebates are resubmitted to this address, they will be reprocessed in approximately two weeks.

I went to the post office today to send a REGISTERED resubmission to the Soyo rebate address in Upland, CA. The Post Office charges about $8 for a registered letter!!! With Soyo's track record, who in their right mind would pay $8 to send paper to these folks.

First they won't accept attachments to emails, then they tell us to shell out $8 so that Soyo "may" consider processing the rebates that were already sent them.

Time to press Newegg some more; their efforts are insufficient if they either don't explain what is really happening up to now and if they don't indicate that they will see this corrected either by Soyo or by Newegg.

Anyone interested in starting a guest book with the info on your rebate and posting it to the internet. Maybe that will grab some attention after we send them that.

Also, any one have problems with Maddog rebates?

Ive been doing rebates for 7 years and done over 300 of them, so far these are the only ones ive had trouble with.

One other company you do NOT want to deal with for rebates is Kobian (primarily sold at Tiger Direct). They are based out of Canada, issue company checks drawn on a Canadian Bank, and are extrememly similar to Soyo in their processing.

Took me 6 months and phone calls to get my rebate from Soyo.

After 8 months the board goes goes bad and I email their tech support. It says I will have a reply in 2-3 days. That was a month ago.

You decide.............never again for me.
