The #1 reason rebates are rejected has nothing to do with which manufacturer the rebate is for.
Doesn't matter if a couple rebates are Soyo, and one is Tiger.
Most rebates are rejected because documentation is not correct.
Numbers will not match the offer (UPC), receipts will not show correct item, or date, etc.
These are just a couple of the ways Tiger screws you (and has screwed me).
So do NOT think you are safe because it is a manufacturer's rebate.
It is still useless without correct doc's from Tiger, so in the end, they control all.
Forget about rebate and warranty, as that too requires proper doc's which you will NOT find on
these "REFURB" parts.
Yes, I said refurb. I live in the same state as these clowns, and read almost everyday horror stories about them.
The state attorney has sued them many times. Besides many complaints about rebates, and file complaints about ordering what they thought was a new item, and they received a refurb item. At least with this cold deal, Tiger has put in the small print that it is refurbished, so you can't sue them or file a complaint against them for that. But forget about warranty. The stuff you get, with the serial numbers on the parts, will not qualify.
There are exceptions to the above, and that is how Tiger has managed to keep this scam going.
They do ship out the correct stuff and rebates sometimes, so that some buyers can say how great they are.
But for many others it is just a scam.
Another tactic they use is to have some of their employees pose as normal people in the message boards and review sites, and say how great they are, and to encourage people to buy from Tiger.
Also their security on their website is the worst I have seen in 15 years. One time when I placed an order with them, someone else credit card info was in my profile. Over a two week period, I informed them about this 4 times, and even wrote to the president of Tiger. No one bothered to reply to any of my concerns, so I gave up. A year later, and all that other persons info was still in my profile!!! Haven't checked in about 10 months, but it is still probably there. So save yourself some grief, and get a one time use credit card number if you don't want to get ripped off worse than the original order will screw you for.
What I am posting here is the same stuff I have posted for the past couple years, and the same thing many, many have posted here and all over the internet. Yet still some never learn.
Tiger has learned well that "A Sucker Is Born Every Minute".
EDIT:
You can get many parts from Computer Geeks.
Case, Key,Mouse,Speaker, CDR, total $27.00
Add in from Newegg a refurb A7N266-VM NF1 board for $39, and you will be much better off.
Or, get a complete kit from geeks. Price range from $79 - $99.

Normally they do small scam's, but every now and then they make a killing off a large group
