It's in stock at newegg.com

I'm about to order it now. I know it's a bad idea without seeing a review yet, but I feel like being a guinea pig!
I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Nice, Newegg has pics. $161 is a lot less than the $199 sugg. retail.

Interesting, haven't seen a power connector that size on a motherboard before, wonder what it's for (maybe the power connector on ATI 8500DV?) It's the same size as a hard drive or CD/DVD power connector. See the 2nd pic, right next to the AGP slot here:

http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage...09-03.JPG/13-139-109-04.JPG/13-139-109-05.JPG

I want this board! Doesn't look as nice as the MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU, with it's red board and silver fan, but looks are a lot less important than features. Would have liked MSI to produce this board to have the extra software features and the USB key lock device, but oh well, looking forward to getting some reviews quick.

I can just image this board with 3 sticks (1.5GB) of Samsung 512MB PC3200 DDR RAM (I read a review/comparison a couple days ago in which the Samsung PC2700 RAM came out on top, but can't find it now, anyone have a link?), a unlocked AMD Athlon XP 1800+ cpu (or maybe wait for the MP 2400+ thouroghbred), and a Thermalright AX-7 heatsink, OCZ 80mm Smart Fan, ATI/Compaq A-I-W 8500, etc...

And here are some interesting specs:

DIMM voltage adjustable
AGP Pro voltage adjustable

and the manual states that it has CPU Vcore voltage adjustments in the bios.

No ECC/Registered RAM according to the manual.
Here is the link to the RAM comparison:
http://www.vr-zone.com/reviews/Memory/HighPerfDDR/

Wish they had compared the OCZ, some OCZ ram uses TinyBGA and some use Samsung memory modules...

the only thing this board is missing is the COP or iShield protection.

>2400+ thouroghbred), and a Thermalright AX-7 heatsink, OCZ 80mm Smart Fan, ATI/Compaq A-I-W 8500,

and that's what I want. but I'll settle for a 2200+ Tbread and I kown that the AX-7 will fit since I saw somewhere a pic with it on it. as for the fan I'm looking to get an enermax adjustable 80mm and hope that will be enough. and I'm waiting for either the R250 or R300 AIW that should be nice.

Well, I ordered the board from Newegg.

According to FedEx tracking, it'll either be here today or Monday.
It's gonna be a long weekend either way.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any reviews yet. Usually you'll see reviews even before the product
is available for public purchase.

Now I just have to wait 'til quittin' time so I can start setting it up at home!

Anyone else order or receive theirs yet?

I can't wait for NCIX to stock it so I can order it!

I read over at VR-Zone that there will be a 'Special Edition' of this board wih silver PCB... anyone else hear anything about this 'Special Edition'?

This board has plenty, but just some things I wanna clear up. It says that it comes w/ 2 usb connectors in the front and back...but when I cycle through the pics, it shows a USB drive bay add on w/ four ports...what's this? Also, the lack of USB 2.0 is the only thing missing from this board. Tough to compare to the Gigabyte 7VRXP.

Just read the chipset info fine print at newegg for this board. So all 4 slots are 2.0 instead of 1.1? Sweet! This board has everything then.

Just to clear things up for you...

There are 8 USB ports: 4 1.1's as well as 4 2.0's.

The "On Board Ultra I/O CHIP" provides the 4 1.1's, 2 rear (on the rear motherboard panel) and 2 front (by expansion bracket).

An additional 4 2.0 ports are provided by a seperate VIA USB 2.0 controller chip (VIA VT6202).

Are you sure? There will be 2 USB's in the back, and then 4 in the front w/ the sigma expansion right?

Yep, I'm sure. The Sigma Box does provide 4 front USB's and there are the 2 normal ports on the motherboard pannel. You have to buy and extra USB bracket to use the other 2 USB's. Download the manual and see for yourself.

Well, I got my SY-KT333 Dragon Ultra up and running!
It's not recognizing my CD-R on IDE3 even though the manual says you can hook one up to
IDE3 or 4 which can act as RAID or regular IDEs.
I have a Maxtor 60g ATA133 on IDE4 and WinXP is recognizing it.

The other problem I'm having...when rebooting or shutting down, WinXP hangs on the screen that says,
"Shutting down windows"...haven't figured that one out yet.

ANOTHER problem...my onboard LAN stopped working. The LED's next to the onboard RJ45 connector aren't coming
on anymore. My router LED's don't come on for my PC when I turn the PC on and I can't get online.
I have to check the settings again when I get out of work to see what's wrong.
I DO have onboard LAN enabled in the bios.
If all else fails, I'll have to RMA it...which sucks!

We'll see.

ah man that sux.... did you do a clean XP install ? or just transfer the HD's ? there must be something.

-AX-7 w/80mm Enermax adj. fan
-SOYO SY-KT333 Dragon Ultra

that's exactly what I'm getting. Ordered it on Friday. package track says it's in transit somewhere in KY.

btw socketa.com says that they did a review of the Dragon Ultra but it's got to be one of the saddest excuse of a review I have ever seen on the web. Appart from saying what the board is, for which we d'uh already know..... they have 4 lines of "should be ok" type of babble. No test, no benches nothing. very sad.

Edit: I just saw that OCWorkbench has a decent review with pics that are obviously NOT ripped off and they actually have benches and comparisons. Good job OCW.

>It's $399

WHAT are you serious.

I did a CLEAN instal of XP. Did not transfer anything.
It's either something or the onboard LAN is bad.

But it seems weird that the LAN would work, then just stop working.
Hopefully, it's just something I change without knowing it.
It would suck to have to send it back and wait for a new one to arrive.
