SP2 and North AV2004... HELP

I tried to install SP2 on my computer yesterday, and it froze at the very end when it was "running proceses after install".. so I decided to uninstall it after I restarted. But explorder became so unstable, it would crash everytime I clicked the start button.

So after I reinstalled XP, I couldn't get my system partition to be "C:" because C: became the name of my other partition. So I went ahead, rebooted and installed my programs. After I installed Norton Anti-virus 2004, I was trying to boot up but it would stop after looking for a CD to boot from and say "disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter"

What should I do? I have reinstalled XP twice since that happened. And it would not read my 160GB harddrive unless I had SP2 installed either :|

And tried to rename the system drive through the registry

If your system drive gets assigned a letter other than C:, your only hope is to reformat and reinstall. When you run XP setup again, make sure that your primary hard drive and your CD-ROM drive are the only two IDE devices connected to the system. Disconnect any secondary hard drives, zip drives, etc.

See if you can slipstream SP2 into your XP setup disc. This will allow XP setup to recognize the full capacity of your 160 GB hard drive, and it will make reinstalling less painful.
