OK heres my problem, i have 2 computers going via a router, from the computer that isn't sp2, i have no problems.
From the one i upgraded to sp2, i cannot receive any packets at all. I can ping the computer itself but cannot ping the gateway or beyond. I tried installing the sp2 fix kb884020 anf the fixreg.reg registry patch to no avail. I have tried setting static ip addresses for both computer and gateway and dns servers, again to no avail.
Before anyone suggests checking cables and other such suggestions, without touching anything but removing SP2, it works again, so its definately NOT hardware.
I tried plugging the WAN direct into the 2nd computer, again no luck.
Weird thing is, when i check my network connections details, my Physical address has changed to all FF's, which is probably the route cause of my problems. Removing SP2 changes it back to normal again.
I'm open to all suggestions.
