Expensive but good the Scythe S-Flex in all three speeds tested well. They do under-volt w/o protest.

For cheap/good ceramic bearinged fans, look into the Arctic Cooling units at Provantage dot com.

SPCR do their tests in multiple batches. I read in their forums that due to the small no. of manpower available and the large no. of fans they collected, it is difficult for them to review all of them in 1 go. So rather than making readers wait, they release the results in batches.

Notice they use Round-Up #2 ? Another batch is coming, with for brands for comparison.

They are still YLs. But you need to undervolt to 100rpms or less to get to SPCR-approved noise levels, so there's no point in testing the same fan at a higher speed. They'd just have to undervolt it some more.

How about informing those that don't know about very viable alternative to a grossly overprice Nexus fan.

Nexus' 120mm fan (and the Yate Loon models that it is derived from) is one of the most popular fans among SPCR's regular readers, and for good reason. It may be a little on the expensive side, as individually packaged fans often are, but the combination of a decent noise level at maximum speed, a smooth, low frequency noise character, and its ability to be inaudible at lower voltages make it a well loved favorite.

and that they provided a link to the list of models that the Nexus is a rebadge of doesn't count?
