If you are trying to get SPDIF-out to work, it should be easy, because it only requires a bracket with two wires. For instance, you could get
a bracket like this, than, pull the wires from the black connector. When you do this, the wires should have little thingies (don't know what their called) that slip over the posts on your motherboard header. The only thing for you to figure out is which pins are ground and which are SPDIF out on your motherboard header. I did this with a Biostar bracket on my Abit NF7-S to enable SPDIF out.
SPDIF-in would be a different story.
