Speaker combo, will it work?

I have the altec lansing acs-54.
I am planning on buying the Cambridge fps-1000
I want to know if you can use the satelites off the cambridge and use them with the sub from the altec lansing.
If anyone tried this before or know that its a stupid idea let me know.

not a stupid idea, just can't really do it I don't think. Most sub/speaker connections for computers are proprietary. Dunno how the FPS1000 connect, but the 2k's used standard speaker wire, so you could possibly do that (cut off the ends of teh satallites).


OR... if you have two outpus for speakers (front/rear), use BOTH sets

OR, if you don't have that kinda sound card, just get a spliter and hook up both sets to the one output
