Keyboard for $0.99, mouse for $1.99, and speakers for $7 at Directron. And as a sidenote, I ordered four of those keyboards a few weeks ago, they sent me these $5.99 MS Internet keyboards instead. YMMV. For basic usage or machines being assembled and stuffed into a corner, you can save $5 over the cost of the SVC combo. Just ordered two more keyboards and mice, and a set of those speakers, last night, shipping came to $7.41 (UPS Commercial Ground to VA).

For those wondering what "CHEAP!!!" refers to in the title, it is $14.99 + S&H for the combo with a ball mouse. Seems just an OK deal to me; thanks, Dran, for that other link. Directron has some other good prices, and their shipping is fair.

Directron also has this 2 button scroll mouse, manufactured by Microsoft, on clearance for $1.99, in case you don't want the black Dell mouse mentioned above.

I really should've noted that, but I was getting ready for work and trying to keep it short Thanks for the catch, marvdmartian. This black keyboard for $2.50 would actually be a good choice as well, as Directron has a $10 minimum, and the keyboard/mouse/speaker combo I listed above only comes to $9.98. Or one could get two of the $0.99 keyboards, or two mice. Or one could pick up one of their IDE ribbon cables for $0.39, or one of the items in this section, such as a bikini-girl case badge for a nickel, or a $0.99 window applique, colored case window for $2 - $3.

Be careful when ordering items from the "crazy prices" section at Directron. They apparently bought out Cases Etc., and when I bought one of their window kits, the rubber molding was rotting and cracked, and the plexi was in bad shape (scratched, etc.) Turns out some of that Cases, Etc., inventory has sat there for months on end, but luckily when I emailed my concern, a rep from directron actually phoned me back and was very nice. Usually they require you to send back the faulty merchandise, but he said it wasn't worth it, and that they'd send another window kit, pronto. And sure enough, they did. Kudos to customer service at Directron. *thumbs up*
