Hi all
I have a somewhat interesting problem, which occured after changing speakers to my computer...
The volume in the speakers are extremely low, I have tried switching speakers, no change. Tried putting in my headphones in the same jack, no change. All of the below symptoms and checks have been made both with a set of speakers and my headphones.
Besides the low volume, when there's nothing to play the speakers just kinda sends out a lot of high frequency noise but still on a low volume basis. While computer is off the speakers are sending out a lot of cracking noise as if the computer have some bad connections.
I've tried setting all volume controls to max, both in the windows sound control and on the device. Reloading drivers, changing drivers, and even reinstalling windows.
On a side note, the front panel jacks are working without any problems, sound is fine.
Therefor im beginning to think that somehow the soundcard/jack is busted. Its an onboard soundcard.
PC specs:
ASUS P5E3 PRO
Intel Q6600
DDR3 1333 4gb
ATI Radeon HD 5870
