rasputinj, it's just a you get what you pay for. For a value home system, this is probably fine. It's a good price, too. My main issue was with your mention of Crucial, which I believe is incorrect here - it would lead people to believe that this is higher quality memory than it is, and appropriate for being used in ways it isn't.

You should edit the post title and add AR, for after rebate. This is a common courtesy that most people appreciate.

My 2cents...
I've used Elixer rams I bought from Frys under generic rams. Abit Kr7A crashed constantly and had multiple lock ups. Will never purchase Elixers again.
Purchased some Kingston Value Rams with Infineon Chhipsets. Worked perfectly but I could only crank it out to 152Mhz before it gave errors on Prime. Although these were PC2100, Overclocking leaves a bit to to be desired.
Purchased some more Kingston Value Rams with kinston written on the chip itself.
Mobo failed to recognize these kingstons completely. Compatibility has some issues.
Lesson learned: You get what you pay for.
PS: some people obtained Kingston ValueRams with samsung chips on it and easily overclocked to 166Mhz

Spektec memory is not (or at least was not until recently) made by Crucial. Spektec was a separate company and was bought by Micron, so officially they are a division of Micron. I'm pretty sure the chips are still made in their old plants.
That being said, I've had very good experience with recent Spektec modules, both PC2100 and PC2700. They worked in every MB I put them in, but I did not try to overclock them. I have one computer at home with an ECS MB, and I've put them in boxes I built for other people, and never had a memory-related problem.
