All die sizes are within 5mm^2. The poster here has been right on some things in the past afaik, and to his credit was the first to saying 505mm^2 for Navi21, which other people have backed up. Even still though, take the following with a pich of salt.

Paul's exclusive info on RDNA2. His sources say that RDNA2 GPUs are going to be very competitive against Nvidia GPUs, and on the upcoming even AMD will announce three GPUs: 6900 XT, 6800 XT and 6800.

So this would pretty decently line up with few recent leaks about clock speeds, CU counts, etc.

DF seems to think PS5 is 2060 level.
Games shown by Sony indicate otherwise.
Anyway we will get the parts for PC and other reviewers can make the compare.
Also, there is too many mention of NV in so many console related things which have absolutely nothing to do NV which makes me wonder if something is up.

Same incompetent DF that benchmarked Nvidia and AMD GPUs in I think it was Mirrors Edge Catalyst? And forgot to mention that game dynamically adjusts settings on lower VRAM GPUs? Which meant Nvidia GPU ran at lower settings.

Mirrors Edge Catalyst was Nvidia sponsored game and Nvidia pushed 8GB textures because they had VRAM advantage. (1080 8GB vs Fury X 4GB) And received a lot of hate because of it.
So AMD cards ran at lower settings.

Techtubers and tech journalists make me want to puke. Especially Jayz2cents. I still remember him begging nvidia for free cards and throwing a tantrum over AMD products.

You sound like you've already made up your mind, especially with your repeated claims of 3080 having better ray tracing performance.

I would just like to refresh your knowledge on the current situation.

We have the 3080, in Metro Exodus, 4K native with ONE ray tracing effect, global illumination and FPS tanks badly. We also have the same GPU in Fortnite, and using multiple RT effects, FPS drops to 23. Yes, 23.

Then we have the PS5, in Spider Man, with multiple RT effects, 4K30. DMC5, multiple RT effects, 4K30.

Don't be too quick to dismiss RDNA ray tracing potential.

As I posted above Spider Man has low quality RT. DMC5 RT needs detailed analysis but why RT not coming to PC? DMC5 is AMD sponsored game after all.

"Nvidia Killer" was Navi23 specifically, and a long, long time ago I asked him about it in DM. At the time he didn't believe AMD thought it was a high end die either, he said that it was being called "Nvidia Killer" because it would be an extremely, extremely competitive product for what it's supposed to be. At this time he didn't think AMD would even be competitive on the high end at all - this was late last year if memory serves me correctly.

So I'd waiting for more info on the die, and what it's targetting.

Adored TV has some good analytically videos, but his conclusions are guesses and usually wrong. He also seems to hate RTG with a passion.

There was a leak suggesting a new tuning mode called Rage. Perhaps this is where the additional power comes from of the card is unleashed so to speak

RTG recently posted a few videos where he stressed that the consoles are using custom RDNA2 and can't directly make an estimate for the desktop parts because AMD haven't given out any info. His reasonings seems pretty logical, things were added to the console parts (Sony and MS spending tons of money on these) and things were taken out (not required by the consoles). So, who knows what's desktop big Navi, other than it will be competitive.

That's not what they did with Vega. Vega was way out of the perf/watt curve just to make it more competitive with the 1080, which wasn't even the fastest card on the market at the time. Vega's perf/watt actually wasn't that bad with lower clocks (and indeed it's still working well for APUs).

I have a feeling that they'll probably release a liquid cooled Navi to either inch out the 3080 or 3090 anyway (depending on where the 6800XT's performance falls)
