I don't understand why AMD would focus on X570 at Computex. Surely the mobo manufacturers should be doing that...? Why would they use their keynote to effectively promote companies that would sell you a mobo regardless of your choice of CPU?

Maybe they haven't decided on final pricing yet. Maybe they want to focus on PCIe 4, which Intel doesn't have (and doesn't seem like Comet Lake will either).

Official support doesn't mean it won't work ...
Intel officially supports only DDR4 2666MHz, but there are no issues getting RAM on their platform to over 4500MHz.

We will see how far AMD will be able to push RAM on new Ryzen, but one thing for sure, it will be higher than the older gen.

I think the issue some people have with AdoredTV is that he consistently went where no one wanted to go, for obvious reasons. His decision to trust the information, and place enough value on it to make it worth sharing was/is his alone. This is why he's being held to task because he was/is practically spreading his gullibility and boosting the legitimacy of the information by saying he trusts his sources. By so doing, he put himself on the chopping board.

The few leak videos of his I've re-watched all seem to start with him mentioning taking a shot of salt before going further with the video.
The h8te he's getting is in the minority from those who've got unrealistic expectations of 16c 5Ghz @$300 starting to worry, and the majority of many who seem to have disappeared from AT ever since the reality of Zen became apparent.
Ryzen 3000 is at a minimum going to be a big jump over Intel with PCIe4, 8-16c, mostly likely improved IPC at or almost equal to Intel, improved clocks, etc, etc.

If it can reach 4.5g on all cores, 8 or 12, then thats going to simply be another step forward in meeting/exceeding Intel and stealing more marketshare.

Ryzen 3K doesn't need to beat Intel in one fell swoop, and its not a downer if it doesn't either.
Only an idiot would claim AMD has failed because barely more than 2 years in AMD hasn't soundly thrashed Intel.
It will simply give AMD the financial wherewithal and time to continue pushing the envelope forward, instead of stagnating and spoon feeding technology in a way which extracts the most out of customers wallets as Intel does... or did.

I tried to tell people in the other thread that the prices in the 'leak' were a bridge too far, but a couple of people kept saying margins didn't matter and it was all about winning marketshare.

Also where is the 5.1Ghz 16C?

Adored is FUD, Ryzen2 looks excellent, but the fanfic was always pretty dumb sounding at best.

No, AMD is not "Caritas or red cross" that times are gone.

Desires are one side, and the reality of business + AMD we have an excellent product/not cheep in another reality.AMD has obviously decided to raise prices for the Zen 2 processors, but for this they have a very good and logical reason.

Everybody wants 12/24 CPU for 350$, but this is stupid if Intel wants 600$ for heater i9 9900KS Turbo GTI 8/16 CPU.

Oddly enough, I'm not his buddy nor do I feel any need what so ever to 'defend' him.

Considering that most of the 'information' on anything tech these days is simply regurgitated news one site rips off from another, I like so far the video's I've seen where he goes into quite a level of detail and depth, as in some of the GFX video's I've seen.
Since that information has seemed to be quality and more than surface level, I've got no problem watching his video's where he 'leaks' his thoughts and lays out his thought processes in a logical and orderly fashion.
Perhaps unlike some, I am not expecting him to have The Answer, but perhaps a rational hypothesis on the future.
Maybe he's being played, however we've all been played for years now by Intel so I'm not getting my pants in a bind if he's correct or not.

I never would have thought that, wished maybe.....

If Intel feels the need to re-price their flagship, then it could easily drop to 450.
I don't think it would drop much more unless it is significantly below the 9900 series, and the public really doesn't feel that 12c @450 is simply unacceptable.
I'll still pay that for 12c though.
