Lisa Su just thanked Jim (AdoreTV) on twitter for following Ryzen so closely. Doesn't speak to the truth of any of his speculation.
Does answer the question about what AMD thinks about his sort of speculation. Like most they would rather be talked about than ignored.

I don't buy the speculation that there will only be 2x 7nm chiplet versions, and what Lisa held up @ CES will only ever be an engineering sample. Is Adored implying that the 6-core versions have been cancelled?

If a 6-core versions does exist (which is by far the most likely outcome) - then there is no economic benefit of wasting two 7nm dies for parts that have 5/8 cores disabled.

Considering the volume or these cheaper parts AMD would just end up wasting 2x more silicon than needed. We might get some 8-cores with two CPU chiplets (also maybe not), but I really really doubt we'll see any 6-cores with 2 CPU chiplets.

I mean, the chip is already tiny. If yields were that bad on such a tiny die, they would never be able to ship Radeon VII (or instinct versions) for anywhere near the current price.

I am sick of you calling this fake tv. The guy got a few things wrong last video. That does not make it fake. He got some right also.
Shut the hell up !

A stopped clock is also right twice/day.

He posts rumors and calls them "leaks".

Yeah, how dare people post videos speculating about Ryzen 3000 chips in a thread titled "Speculation: Ryzen 3000 series"!

If you're that f'ing angry about such then you should probably see your way out of the thread and all similar ones. But instead we'll get complaining and then you'll claim that people were hyping things insane because its you that takes people speculating for fun as people taking things incredibly seriously. The dumbest part is how many people will then take the hyped up part and say AMD failed for not living up to it, after they criticized others for hyping things to allegedly unrealistic levels.

After Turing, I'm not sure how anyone can say that.
The simple mind assumes that because there are two choices, true and false, the odds are equal. You only have two outcomes after all.

They forever fail to understand that in complex situations with many factors there are many, many more ways to be wrong than the one way to be right.

All he said was that the information he had from his contacts. We probably would call those leaks and while he had growing confidence that the information was accurate. I am 99.9% sure he stated before every speculation and rumor video that we should take these with a bunch of salt. While he believed his info was accurate he asked everyone to not take it as gospel whenever he could. Makes me wonder if all this venom is due his call out video (what was in a response to half a dozen call out video targeting him) about "to good to be true".

His "contacts" are random anonymous people who send him info, and wildly inaccurate info lately, so no I don't call those leaks.

While he started the one video I watched stating, "take it with a grain of salt" disclaimer, he then spent the next 5 minutes citing why he thought it was true.

That's about as useful a disclaimer as every thing that tells you anything health related to talk to your doctor before exercising, changing your diet etc...

We don't really care if YOU call THEM leaks, what we care about is if HE called them leaks.

Secondly:

While he started the one video I watched stating, "take it with a grain of salt", he then spent the next 5 minutes citing why he thought it was accurate.

"the one video I watched"...

I think your sample size might be a bit small. But please let us know which video this was so we can take a look at how he used the word "leak" etc.

PS: You do know what grain of salt" means, yes? The whole purpose of that caveat is to NOT give the impression that the given information is known to be true. You get that, yes?

Oh and I also agree with Ian on this chiplet APU part: As well as I find the part about direct links between chiplets quite suspect.

Overall a lot I'm doubtful abot in the video, but we'll see

This tweet makes absolutely zero sense in regard to what AMD has stated about the I/O portion of Zen 2. Why would AMD go thru all the trouble of shrinking the I/O just for APU's?

You mean you don't care other than your personal vendetta where you spent last night and today voting down over 200 of my posts?

Hey now, let's not pretend I'm the one who started needlessly leaving negative points, I'm just the one who took it to the obvious conclusion.

You chose to keep squirming your way out of any questions and then come back weeks later to leave negative reputation, I just choose to take you with me.
