Makes sense. If we are lucky a June release perhaps?
That would be excellent news, article seemed to think early July.
Interesting they put the Navi rumor to rest. 3rd quarter for that.

it's possible that Ryzen gets the first public release while Rome is probably already sold and being shipped to key customers.
The 16 core chip on consumer level AM4 platform is going to be huge. The other stuff is questionable. USB3.0 was a huge upgrade from USB2.0 so it was worth upgrading for. USB4.0 is going to be faster still, but USB3.0 is fast enough. DDR5 is going to be faster, but probably not by much and it's going to be at least twice as expensive as DDR4.2020 must be a revolution year for technology...
16-core modular CPU (two 8-core CPU chiplets + IO chiplet) 65watts + ddr5 usb 4.0 motherboards
hope this become true in 2020, then ill upgrade my intel system to amd.

Point being, if you're due for an upgrade there is no reason to wait till 2020 when X570 is just around the corner and it'll be capable of driving 16 core chips.

AMD never officially mentioned Ryzen comes before Rome. In the past Lisa Su specifically said Rome comes first, but it's possible that Ryzen gets the first public release while Rome is probably already sold and being shipped to key customers.

Is it easy to disassemble this motherboard? I wonder because I think it's going to be hard to remove the dust from that armor
I typically remove plastic "for show" shrouds from motherboards. They are typically held by a bunch of screws from the bottom side of the motherboard and are very easy to remove. Just got to watch for any possible LED wires and remove them with care.Is it easy to disassemble this motherboard? I wonder because I think it's going to be hard to remove the dust from that armor
Sigh....
Part of me wants to get a 12 core beast, but then part of me knows i have a 8700k already with 32g of ram and 1080ti.
Tough job being an IT nerd.

Well, I have to say this LOOKS legit. So at some point a 3800x will be in my house. 4.7 turbo on 16 cores ? Yea baby ! I bet I could get 5 out of it on a good 240 or 360 AIO.Computer component eStore from Turkey listed several Ryzen 3000 CPU.

Edit: while I was posting, FlanK3r was also. Well, how could they be selling fake CPU's ?
Why didn't you say that when you posted in the first place ?Well of course they are fake, and totaly unreasonable CPU details.
R7 2700X 8/16, 3.7ghz with 4.3ghzTurbocore
R5 or R7 or Toyota 3600X etc pick what you want 8/16, 4ghz stock with 4.8 ghz Turbocore
Stock CPU higher clocks is 1000% real.People probablly have problem with that 4.8 ghz Turbocore "because someone said"(but what all Core Turbo or singlecore Turbocore?) that Ryzen 3000 can only hit 4.5ghz.
