Speed test inside, Please test the speed of my web server.

Before I start this up for real and before I put out to much cash on a web server and all that work into it, I set up this test page on a p120mhz with 128megs of ram running winnt 4.0 and IIS 4.

Please post your speed results, thanks. By speed I mean like from 1 to 10. One being extremly slow, 10 being extermly fast and 5 being average (comparable to most web sites).

Do you have a cap on your cable modem? Keep in mind that most cable modems are limited to about 15k/sec upload speeds, and that is what your website will be doing - uploading data to the client web browser.

My cap is at 40kb/sec upload (320kbps).

Darn good!Loads extremely fast even the screenshots. Loaded it 3 times (clearing cache between each access) all three loaded about the same.I give it a 10+ and I am on a 56K dialup

cogeco cable, full page wasn't instant but partial load popped up straight away, about a 7. Post the size in MB's of the page to quantify images included.

So far it's an 8.6 average, you think this connection will be decent? Also T1 is not avalible where I live, so is it possible to put two cable connections together so I can get 80kb/sec upload?
