Speedfan program question

I was just wondering what the temperatures are measuring, my readings are temp1: 37 degrees temp3: 34 degrees and temp2: 127 degrees????? Someone please explain to me what temp2 could be measuring.

lol. Yep, I have similar readings: 48, 42, 72!!!???, and 34 for hd. I actually used my electronic thermometer at various points on my mobo attempting to determine where this 72 was coming from, but ultimately couldn't find any hot components. All my HS's were warm to the touch but not excessively hot.

I'd say don't worry about it unless your system gets unstable.

I've seen this a few times on more than one motherboard. I'm pretty sure temp2 is measuring nothing. 127 probably is a default number (presumably in binary) when the sensor isn't hooked up. Feel free to correct me.

I hope that 127 is nothing cuz I open my case and its rather cool in their, i have an Antec 1080 case, with two fans for the exhaust and one fan for now in the front and the side fan, I bought a Vantec Aeroflow for my p4, and I cleaned out everything just recently since I got a new Mobo, in Bios the cpu temp shows 37 so I really hope that 127 is nothing. thanks for the replies.

Usually those readings are caused by temp sensors that don't exist. And it's just empty addresses instead one ones w/ data in it.

from what i know:

Temp 3 = Core Temp
Temp 2 = Socket Temp
Temp 1 = Case Temp
HD0 = HHD1 Temp

Hope i helped...

If your board does not have any of the above ie case temp then it will not post a temp and go to the default 127 I THINK I AM NOT SURE thou
