Yeah, that depends a lot on the judge too. I got a ticket about 2 years ago and asked if I could do traffic school in lieu of the fine and points. The judge said: "You are welcome and encouraged to attend traffic school any time you like. However you still receive your fine and points."

I was only going 7 over. Cold, hard bitch.

If only life were that simple. As it is, going through honest, though convoluted legal channels will save you a lot of $$$ vs. just paying the ticket straight-up. I wish it weren't so, but that's the world we live in.

Luck it wasn't in NJ, no offense to people who lives in NJ blows. I got a speeding ticket along with another Bullshit ticket about not providing proper documentation when requested, my registration expired and guess what, it was as much as the speeding ticket! A week later I received in snail mail an attorney advertisement offering their help with my speeding ticket, what kind of crap is that, they sold my info! freaking scums.

I remembered my friend worn a t-shirt that said "Friends don't let Friends live in NJ".
