I was doing maybe 80 in a 25. When I went by the police station I guess the cop was sitting in the driveway drinking a coffee. He chased me for about 3 miles, but I didn't even know he was chasing me. I stopped for an entire red light and was about to go when it turned green it was then that he finally caught up to me. He said the there was a roadblock on the other side of the rise in the road (bridge) waiting for me. I don't know, I never saw it. The cop wasn't too pleased that he had spilled his coffee all over himself when I drove by.

He wrote me up for 30 over because he was never able to clock me. I got a lawyer and got it down to 10 over.

i was doing ~20 in a 0...ran a stop sign, it was a 4 way intersection, which was dead anyway, and i turned right into a parking lot, so there was no chance that i would have hit anybody. but, i didn't see the cop sitting there, pulled me over, gave me a campus ticket, which was cool it was just $60 and didn't go on my record or w/e and my insurance didn't go up.

Got pulled over on a friend of mines Ducati 900 doing "at least 130" last summer by a NY State trooper ... he actually let me go with a verbal warning when I told him it wasn't my bike & I had no idea how fast I was going. (yeah, right!)

I've gone a bit faster then that on my Suzuki GFS1200 a few times & a whole lot faster (over 170) on another friends Kawasaki ZX-12 once but never got caught... on the ZX-12 btw I REALLY didn't have any idea I was going THAT fast!

Most I've ever been written up for was 84 in a 55 zone heading up to Vermont on a ski trip ... just by coincidence I was clocked at exactly 1 mph below the level I would have had to go to court for (hehe) , but the fine was still pretty hefty!

Only ticket I've ever had was for doing 32 in a 25 :frown: 7 miles over, late in the evening, 85 euros thank you very much. I was barely able to hold back laughter when I was sitting in the back of the cop car having a lecture on how dangerous speeding is

Once I got "pulled over" by off-duty cop in his own car. He followed me to a gas station and came up to me screaming how I flied past him so fast he was barely able to see the make of my car. It was a black '03 Saab Sport Sedan 2.0l and I was going about 105 on a 75. Good thing he was off-duty and couldn't do anything. When he was leaving I said if he'll ever catch me I'll buy him a  He was f*cking pissed and told me he's "watching me". I very rarely go over the limit by that much so it didn't really matter to me and I never saw him again.

90 in a 55. Was coming back from the UP and I didn't realize the freeway ended so far from the bridge.

pulled over at 100+...i was in a mazda protege and had just picked my friend up from BART (Bay Area people know what i'm talking about). we were in a rush so we were smashing through the city to get onto the freeway. my luck, i was behind a tricked out mitsubishi evo and was hugging the back of the car entering the freeway. as soon as a second lane got open, i down-shifted, blasted past the evo, cut back ahead of it and started weaving like crazy. the wheels were unbalanced so i didn't want to endanger my friends so i dropped to ~65. 1 minute later the cop came back and questioned me about the whole incident, from the purple evo to the weaving. got away with a warning. don't think i haven't gotten a ticket though. i just got lucky that one time

Heh, around here you have to pass a test like that to even get to do the real driver's test
Actually, "test" is too strong a word, you don't really have to accomplish anything spectacular, it's more of a "get a feel for it" kind of test.

Great loads of fun, doing 80 km/h and driving into a simulated ice lane, then trying to avoid a "moose".
I managed at up to 60 km/h without going off the road, at which point the instructor told me to go straight to 80, no damn way to keep the car on the slippery road at that speed, so I ended up way outside the lane

Oh and to answer the question, none miraculously enough

I got a written warning for 73 in a 25 once. No that's not a typo, 73 in a 25. I was on the fire dept at the time and on the way home from a call I realized I left my oven on with food in it (yeah, irony). The officer knew who I was and had heard the call, but said he had to give me a warning to set an example for the rookie he was training (yeah, another WTF). I saved that ticked until the carbon copy faded off, I should have immediatly had it laminated for posterity. I can't believe the guy actually wrote me a warning, can you imagine his bosses face when they reviewed his daily report??

For the record, I was speeding on the outskirts of town in an industrial zone. There were no people or vehicles in site, other than the officer that was hiding in a factory parking lot. Being on the FD got me out of several tickets, but this was by far the most flagrant.

EDIT: I guess in spirit of the OP, the fastest I was ever clocked and ticketed was 83 in a 55.

Never been pulled over, but I do routinely drive 15-20 mph over the speed limit. I just slow down when I get near all the places cops like to sit on my usual routes. Other than that, I usually try not to be the fastest person on the road at any given time and I don't swerve in and out of lanes that much. I generally just hop in the fast lane and if no one is in front of me, I fly...if not, oh well.

Buddy of mine got pulled about for 55 in a 45. Got a ticket and had to pay it too. Boy was he pissed, especially cause he rarely speeds.

I was going 50 in a 35. I told the cop I was just trying to get home because it was late. (it was like 1 in the morning). He filled out the ticked for $75 i think it was. Then he told be that he will write on the ticket that I was just trying to get home...then he told me just go to court when your supposed to and plead not guilty and all that would happen is that I would just be placed on a 9 month probation period. So what happened was I didn't have to pay for the ticket. I would go on file but after 9 months it would be ripped up and thrown away, but if I got another ticket in that time frame, that one and the new one would come up. I haven't gotten another one since then.

The fastest I've driven on the HW was 110 on because my Grand Am is governed at that speed. Usually I do about 70 to 75.

He wrote it for 20 over, but it was a funny story.

I used to ride my motorcycle about 30 miles to high school and back, and it was cold that day. Sooo, I was laying on the tank trying to hide behind my tiny fairing (souped up GPZ550, slow by todays standards.). I guess I was going about 75-80 and decided to really gas it for a few miles down the flats.

When I finally slowed down and sat up I saw the CHP lights coming on fast behind me. After I got pulled over he said he got behind me a while back, looked down to see we were going 80, then looked up and I was gone. LMAO. He said to slow it down because he didn't want to pick me up the next time with a spatula and a sponge. (A line I use as a paramedic, thank you Mr. CHP for the line.)

82 in a 65. Them NY State Troopers got LASER BEAMS that detect how fast you're going :Q. He even knew what kind of car I had just by going by and would've had my front license plate if I actually lived in NY. Unfortunately, you never know where cops will sit on Rt 17 as there are a million little inlets that go between both sides of the highway. I saw him and thought he was the base for one of those road signs (it was a little foggy).

No matter, he let me off anyway. Nice guy, treated him with respect and I now keep it at 73 .
