I wonder if a fully conservative Supreme Court will even support Trump all the way, or will they put their foot down if they find Trump violating any case laws?

Well that depends on whether the judge has 1) a degree in law, 2) a degree in animal science or 3) no degree at all

If either 2 or 3, then you know they'll be as incompetent as their fuhrer and his cabinet, so expect the worst. /s

Oath of Loyalty to Trump probably in the works, with the usual commensurate penalties for insubordinate federal employees criticizing His Highness' edicts.

Looks like Trump can't discern the difference between forcing those employees of his that he lords over in his businesses to toe the company line vs. forcing civil servants that work for the people rather than himself to give up their First Amendment rights.

Control Freak in charge of the Nukes folks. Hang on to yer lug nuts, the Trump Roller Coaster is shoving off.

His heroes are Putin, Kim and Nethanyahu, so my guess is that if the press keeps pushing he will just lock them up or have them killed.

Sociopath narcissist. He doesn't care about anyone but himself and thinks everything about him is perfect. The earlier post really points out the irony of Trump crying and unable to accept the reality that over half the electorate doesn't want him. He spent years insinuating that Obama wasn't an American and was a muslim rather than a christian. Complete bullshit and one would think no one would vote for him with just that ridiculous footnote on his resume. Now he cries for legitimate criticism of him being a lying windbag when he's an off the charts dirtbag who denigrates people freely.

This is what happens when you elect a degenerate piece of shit like Trump and he has to deal with the scrutiny that comes with the position. His narcissism is probably off the charts now with the election win.

I saw a portion of his inauguration the other day and there was a priest up there comparing him to Moses because it was raining... These people who support him are completely fucked in some alternate reality. I have no time for religious nonsense. I have taken the time to read the books of mythologies related to them though. Couldn't believe that when I heard it. Trump is the antithesis of the sort of message surrounding the jesus myth. Goes to show how deluded and/or corrupt the religious infrastructure is if a priest would compare a piece of shit like Trump to a character in the bible. A philandering thrice married piece of human excrement who belittles, lies and steals with no regard for his actions.

Scary the amount of people that are idolizing him for acting that like a sociopath while he's smirking, at the moment.

It's pretty clear to me that some media outlets to have an agenda towards him and his family. Taking shots and insulting him constantly and not covering other topics like they would if reversed, etc. That being said, he brings a lot on it by himself and has given plenty of ammo for it. He needs to treat the news like some pro ball players do. How many times do we hear that they don't read the headlines or watch sports center. Because there will always be people saying they suck and saying bad things about them, being right or not. He needs to keep his attention on moving forward and not worrying about the damn headlines. Stay off twitter, and just be a damn grown up. I don't think this will happen, it's not who he is but whatever.

And Spicer needs to stick to facts.

Trump stoked a self described "war" with the media during the campaign to help activate his base and generate publicity. Only now does he discover that he can't put out the fire and indulge every insecurity that is ingrained in his personality at the same time. Trump's personality made him in this election, it's looking increasingly likely that the faults in it will end up destroying him now that there is nobody to fight.

So the media shouldn't hound him when he lies? Just let it slide? Let it be the new norm? You do know his political career started with a lie?

It's the opposite. As long as he continues to peddle in bullshit the press should hound him relentlessly until we get the truth.

So you think the media is not at all to blame? I don't. They both have a part in it. If Trump would have just stopped responding to them, eventually they would have stopped. Similar to how I have stopped responding to some useless trolls on these forums. They quote me much less now and I'm better for it.

I am not (have never) given Trump a pass on anything, not this either. He is not going to let a slight go, even if it wasn't even one. He is going to hit back harder than he got hit. This is just who he is. I don't like it, he needs to stop. There are instances where the media does treat him and his family differently. Two cases this week, his son had many mean things said about him online. If this happened the other way around, all hell would have broken lose. Some talk show host said she wouldn't interview Melania Trump because "She can barely speak English". Again, if this happened to the other side, it would have been front page news. Hollywood and liberals are often times hypocritical though. Instead most media didn't even mention it. The left acts often times like they claim the right does. They act vile, racists, sexist, etc but then act as if they do no bad.

There are both sides to this, unlike most I don't just blame Trump. However, he is President now and needs to "go high when they go low" and just keep his mouth shut. If he would stop making inflammatory statements, stick to facts, stick to his job, things would get better and it would eventually go away. Chances are very slim that will happen imo.

I know you don't think logically anymore, as proof by your many topics and posts. Claiming Fox didn't cover something when you didn't see it, and they did is just one example. You did what you accuse the new administration of doing, "alternative facts", aka lying. Take your own advice.

I never once said they should let him slide when lies are exposed. They shouldn't. Stop putting words in my mouth. There are a lot of in the middle jabs back and forth. There are many important things to cover, yet some outlets stick to just a few. Wording things in a bias way, it is pretty clear to see. And yes it happens both ways. As I said above, they don't cover things equally either. If either of those incidents had been said about the Obama's or a Repub said something about a Mexican barely speaking English, you and your type would have made a topic about it. It would have been front page news, covered at length. Her job would have been called for. Probably prostests (riots). Yet, you didn't because its not about a Dem, its about a Repub. And none of the other things happened. Thats pretty telling.

In large part, no. This is the same media that gave him billions in free publicity by covering lots of his rallies live and unedited. The media was a useful foil for him during the campaign but he went too far, expected them to fall in line behind him after the election, and is pissed that isn't going to happen. Most of his recent damage is entirely self inflicted and calling out the media for being fair to him over it is ridiculous.

This isn't a both sides do it situation. The president has uttered demonstrable falsehoods and used his staff to defend them. He seems intent on laying waste to his remaining credibility.

Its funny cuz all the Trumpers keep calling everyone else "delicate snowflakes". I wonder how they respond to this.

Yeah, projection definitely isn't something new to them, but this one in particular gives me laughs almost daily.

Looks like I was spot on about the coverage. BTW - I didn't say they didn't cover, I said they didn't cover it live thereby being inadequate.
How much Americans are seeing of the protest today, however, depends on what cable news network you're watching. We searched closed captioning transcripts of the three major cable news networks -- CNN, MSNBC and Fox News -- to calculate how each was covering the march

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-m...-fox-msnbc-and-cnn-are-covering-womens-march/
I didn't accuse you of anything I merely asked the question. A guy that lies as much as Trump will and should garner a lot of coverage. The silly crowd thing is not a media invention, Trump started it by predicting he is so great that he will bread attendance records for inaugurations. Media rightfully pointed out he fell a little short. Trump threw a hissy fit and it went from there.

I'm not that bright but I know when the POTUS talks it makes news.

The Grand Ol' Party has sadly been reduced from the thinking man's party to the party of butthurt rural snowflakes. They just need to own it now and stop pointing fingers at liberals, Hollywood, minorities, etc. as the Cause of All Their Suffering.

"Get over it, you lost the election!" you say? Puh-leeze.

- This from the side that still challenges Roe v. Wade and makes it a primary issue for all of their representatives. Your side lost 44 years ago...still butthurt?
- This from the side that still fights against the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act and seeks to undermine it at local, state and federal levels--this was decided over 50 years ago!
- This from the side that still argues that their racist, secessionist flag is a symbol of "free speech". You lost the war over 150 years ago...GET OVER IT.

This is from the side where 40% of them were still arguing that Obama wasn't born in the US EIGHT YEARS AFTER HE WAS ELECTED.

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/201...partisan-divide-over-birther-question-n627446

So at a minimum Republicans need to wait about 7.95 more years before telling anyone to 'get over it'. lol.

You're working awfully hard to defend Trump & to vilify his critics.

Trump's basic temperament makes him unfit to be President. If you voted for him you made a huge mistake & the sooner you realize that the happier you'll be.

Making a big deal out of some talk show host's slight of Melania shows that you're desperate to establish the "they're just as bad" song & dance. Not to say anything bad about her but she's not really political, not the way that recent first ladies were at all. That's not why Trump married her. I'm sure she's entirely capable & decent in her own right but she's also Donald's trophy at the same time. Her role is ornamental.

You know it's true.

I'm starting to doubt that Mr.Tangerine Man will even make it 6 months. What a psycho. Failing badly. Really sad.

I thought GW Bush was epically bad but Trump has changed that. There is a whole different scale of badness out there and we are swiftly descending to the bottom of it.

This is truly unprecedented in American politics. I am shocked at just how crazy this fucker truly is. Holding press conferences to argue about crowd sizes..... jesus... fucking.... christ....

Yeah that was fucked up when he brought a cheering section to a press conference. This whole thing is Orwellian.

Saw there were reports he did the same thing at the CIA. How can anyone not see that as the actions of someone deeply disturbed?

Actually that is what Putin does in Russia...

Trump has dishonored the fallen CIA heros by using their memorial as a political prop for his whining with his staffers pretending to be CIA officers applauding him.
They gave their lives to protect American democracy and way of life only to have this man crap on their life's work.

To give that speech in front of the CIA was one thing. To throw in people to cheer for him to make it seem like the CIA was cheering for him is something else entirely. His ranting about crowds was an embarrassment in front of that wall. To reduce those people to props for his inability to accept he's not widely loved as dear leader was disgusting.
