Spicer: It's 'Demoralizing' For (unpresidented snowflake) Trump To See Media Narrative About Him

Loved this line in the article:

"It was Spicer's first appearance behind the podium since he delivered a furious tirade Saturday against the press for their accurate coverage of crowds at Trump's inauguration."

Monday's briefing was more cordial, and Spicer was careful to avoid the areas he got wrong on Saturday. But his explanation for the combative response to the crowd size issue was nonetheless his most expansive answer in a session studded with questions about economic policy and foreign matters.

When your ego matters more than the country you are governing, lol.

Give it a few months and the press briefings will be filled with Breitbart and the like instead.

A few months? More like a couple of weeks. Trump has plans to (a) move the press room out of the white house, (b) have a peanut galley there stuffed with members of his loyal cheering public and (c) give out more press credentials to the wacko bloggers, etc. Given his previous practice of banning various major news organizations from the press section of his tour, I have no doubt he'd also go that step if he could legally get away with it (which I doubt).

Coupled with his ban on federal employees talking to the press, we are definitely in for troubling times (that ban at least, I expect him to have great difficulty with the courts).

Yeah that was fucked up when he brought a cheering section to a press conference. This whole thing is Orwellian.

Saw there were reports he did the same thing at the CIA. How can anyone not see that as the actions of someone deeply disturbed?

He should resign then. I mean he's 70 years old, he got the check mark of being president on his bucket list already. Why go through all the stress to still most likely end up in the history books as the worst president ever?

A demoralized Trump could be a very dangerous thing. W. took some deliberate actions to assert his legitimacy after the fiasco with Gore that ended up being very damaging in some cases.

For a job that absolutely requires skin much thicker than a rhinoceros with the resilience and integrity of mil spec armor plate, Trump's dermal frailties simply aren't durable enough to feasibly endure the monumental tasks he faces for the next 1,461 days left in his term.

This glaring "condition" of his is going to get picked on like buzzards on carrion, and it seems the more he's going to get picked on, the more loud and fanatical his responses will be. Extrapolate that into the near future and it really doesn't look good for him.

With the heavy burden of running his businesses from the White House as well as shepherding the nation he now leads, for now, it looks like he's going to have his 19th nervous breakdown not too far into his term.

I'm sure it's demoralizing for Spicer. He ran it up the flagpole & it was shot down in tatters.

Nobody can dissemble like Donald Trump. He's a fool to even try.

could be worse, we could still be listening to that whiny Josh Earnest bleat on and on.... Spicer was direct and quick to both answer questions and dismiss those looking to just be obstinate

He held to the company line & looked ridiculous doing it because what he defends was ridiculous in the first place.

The press will destroy him if he does that.

I wonder if a fully conservative Supreme Court will even support Trump all the way, or will they put their foot down if they find Trump violating any case laws?
