Am I the only one who gets tired of numbers when it comes to movies?

With ticket prices at $10 almost here in Hawaii, it's no wonder movies are hitting records.

Don't they count number of tickets sold? Is there a website that shows this? I believe thats the only fair way to judge movies from different eras

I hate spending $10 on a ticket alone, that's before you even think about a drink or popcorn. You'd think that in the middle of Indiana, ticket prices wouldn't be so bad.

I pay for $4 for my ticket while in College Station. If I got back home, it's $8.50 and probably rising.

$9.75 for me. There are no student discounts. You have to pay for an adult ticket if you are over 11.

No chance of me ever watching it. Looks like complete garbage, made to make money.

Ticket prices aren't substantially higher than when Pirates 2 came out, which is the record it broke. Admissions figures aren't typically released until much later.

There are lists that adjust for inflation.

Yeah, it's sad when it only costs an addition 2.50 to go to the IMAX to see the film instead of just a normal theater

There are increasingly more IMAX theaters than in prior years so it is harder to command the larger price premium they once enjoyed.

All movies are made to make money.

Yes, but some aim to deliver content as well.

Some of the stupidest crap makes absolute piles of money. Blame the customers not the movie companies. They are simply giving them what the public wants.

Yeah, but unfortunately the price of IMAX hasn't gone down, the prices of normal theaters have gone up

Agreed. Unlike Spidey 2, which was a quality movie, this polished turd is getting panned across the boards.
