Actually, the "Digital Copy" is essentially the movie studios begrudgingly giving you an alternative to breaking the stupid DMCA to do something that you used to be able to do as part of your Fair Use Rights (format shift). It'd be better to just revoke the DMCA.

I agree to a certain extent. Having a digital copy is nice because even if they did do away with the DMCA, you'd still have to rip it and then convert it to the format you want. And let me tell you, ripping a Blu-ray disc and converting it takes quite a bit more space and time to do than a DVD. With a digital copy, you just plug in your PSP to your PS3, copy it to your PSP and your done. Simple, easy. Now if they'd do away with the DMCA AND make digital copies available, we'd be golden.
