DVD Talk gives this movie a 5/5 for video and audio quality. This could be used as a reference disc. Niiice!

Buyer beware, this item is not sold by buy.com, but a 3rd party vendor View Entertainment. Sort of like a market place vendor at amazon.com.

I bought one anyway. Came out to $10.71 w/ CA tax, free shipping. I used a virtual number on the safe side.

You know what I've just noticed, I've got way to many copies of this movie. I already had it on UMD, now I'm going to have it on Blu-ray. Anyone know if the Blu-ray version has a digital copy? I guess I'll know soon enough.

A digital copy is a copy of the movie normally in a PSP or Apple format. For instance, if you have a digital copy included on your Blu-ray movie, all you would need to do is just plug in your PSP to your PS3 and it will let you copy a portable version of that movie to your PSP. Very cool and it would REALLY come in handy for me.

You must have lots of free time and questionable taste if you consider that movie a good time filler. I mean, it's bad in a bad way, not in a cheesy way that made the B-movies of old fun to watch. Bad acting, bad story, overly dramatic nonsense, with the only good part being the special effects (Loved some of the Sandman scenes for instance). If they'd only canned Kirstin and given her a total of 10s of cameo it might have allowed salvaging the plot line. Or just cut out all the non costumed bits and had a pure special effects film.

I'd personally rather watch Lake Placid again.

Actually, the "Digital Copy" is essentially the movie studios begrudgingly giving you an alternative to breaking the stupid DMCA to do something that you used to be able to do as part of your Fair Use Rights (format shift). It'd be better to just revoke the DMCA.
