Spidrman the Movie Game

I just got this game yesterday (for the PC). I was wondering if anyone else is playing it and what their thoughts are about it. I couldn't find a 12 button controller, but I got an AXIS pad from Interact (I think).

So far it seems pretty good, but I am not much of a gamer. I love spidey so I had to get it anyway.

Any thoughts?

Yeah I have it and beat it. The controls (If you dont' have a gamepad) and camera is really annoying but other than that its a great game. Kinda short but the graphics are REALLY good. Its a good for about 10 hours of gameplay. Plus I picked it up cheap at Best Buy.

i dont like the controls, even with a gamepad. for some reason, when i press up, sometimes spiderman goes backwards and sometimes forward. i dont know if its supposed to be like that or if its only me.

He moves "forward" in the direction he's facing, so thats why it changes directions all the time. Anyway, i dont mind the controls, just the hideously poor camera angles. Playing it with my original Sidewinder works dandy though

ah...see i dont really like that, it gets too confusing especially when a bunch of bad guys run towards you. if the controls were more like maxpayne, id like it more.

on a side note...whats your NYX name? i want to see if ive played u before.

The HammerheadFX I got from Electronics Boutique for ~$12 works great for this game. I think it's 16 button, and dual stick with dual shock support. I like the game so far. It's rare that I find a game that keeps me playing... and currently it's competing with Tony Hawk 3 for my game time.

How did this game run for you guys? I found it to be choppy on my system at 1024x768. I am wondering if it's a poor engine or if it's my graphics card, I have a Geforce 2 Ultra.

my logitech rumble doesnt have enough buttons either
i had to use my playstation controller along with this usb adapter
this game is so awesome!!!! its about time they bring console gaming style to the pc.

Is this game similar to the one Activision released last winter? Engine looks very similar.

It is a new game from Activision. I didn't play the one released last year, though I did read a comarison between the two. This one has aireal fights it seems.

I play the game on a 1.4 ghz Tbird with an AIW 7500 and 512 pc133 ram. It seems to play all right on my machine.

A version 1.1 patch for SM:TM has been released. It fixed *ALL* of my control issues (camera still bites, but it is playable for me now, at least)

if u have camera issues, have u ever try camera lock? it works wonder during intense fight scenes.

Man, this is BS!!! I was going to apply the patch until I saw this:

"NOTE: All saved games from your previous version will be lost once this patch is installed!"

I'll live with the bugs because I ain't starting over! :|

Dude, it is time for a vido card upgrade. I have a GF2 Pro overclocked to about Ultra speeds and this game is bitch slapping my card so bad that I think I get less than 1FPS on super active scenes! :| Man, I need a GF4 TI4600 BAD!!!

Oh, I'm playing at 1280x1024x32 with everything turned up. Maybe that has something to do with it. But damnit, I refuse to play at any lower res!

Yeah, the game gets incredibly choppy on my Geforce 2 GTS, i really need an upgrade too. As for the engine, the graphics are a huge step up from the Spiderman game released before, which was a Playstation port.

For YaKuza, my nick is Noodles, i just joined for RTCW, and i used to play rocket arena 2 =)
