This is the nearly undisputed champ in 750gb-1tb ATA hdd arena atm, combining superb speed with unmatched quietness (at least until hitachi releases their refreshed version soon). Perhaps the low price is just the refection of 750gb's replacing 500 variants at the mainstream spot, but arguably this is the best ATA drive you can get for money so why wait. I am kicking myself in the head for ordering a recertified one for slightly more just yesterday its just a few dollars' difference but a non-recertified one would have been nice. Oh well.

CV has it for $5 less using their coupon or, you could bump it up to $140 to use the $7 coupon. To my knowledge, we cant post a direct link to CV's site so I will leave it up to you to navigate there.
the only caveat is somewhat alarmingly high failure rate on arrival, though I believe it has to do with newegg's packaging job on OEM hdds - should be same regardless of whichever brands you happen to order; I have seen similar concerns for hitachi and wd drives when dealing with OEMs.
