It's cheaper than DeepdiscountDVD which usually has the cheapest and even cheaper than Half.com prices. You can find cheaper at Ebay but you never know what you're getting because there are so many international versions.

It is the highest grossing animation in Japan ever and no other country is so notorious for producing animations.

O well. I'm an anime guy myself. Seen a ton of them, but just didn't like Spirited away.
I haven't seen that many Japanese anime movies, but have seen Princess Monoke, Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, and Akira. Monoke I watched dubbed so it was kinda ruined.

I like series a lot better.

I don't buy a lot of DVD's but this one is worth $15 especially if you have younger children who will enjoy it. Some of the animated crap that Hollywood puts out isn't worth $15, but this is worth it.

Just saw the movie a few night ago.

It was dumb. Not much more to say... I'm guessing that George Lucas helped write the script.

Tha animation was average at best; looked like a Scooby Doo episode from the early eighties...

I have no idea why this movie would carry any particular fascination with it... It's just... dumb.

This is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Japanese animation is unrivaled and this is one of the only things that we can all thank Disney for.

Too bad it's dubbed. I watched the subbed version, and it was great. I can't stand dubbing since I actually know Japanese. If you're into Anime and Jap Import games, you should take few classes in Japanese. It makes a WORLD of difference.

Seriosly lack of imagination...

i guess maybe Caveman been in the cave too long and havent been exposed to Anime... but no way can u compare it to Scooby Doo... maybe the framerate (which is Anime style) but thats about it.. the illustrations are much more clear + lots of colors...

I have the DVD and it includes both a dubbed English track as well as the original Japanese track.

Meh, this is average price for a dvd. I go to a little neighborhood shop that sells import dvds for under 12 bucks new.

Which are most likely bootlegged.



The deal is not hot but definitely warm as disney DVDs, especially Ghibli ones NEVER go below $20-25. So at $15 this is a good value.

Speaking of Ghibli, has anyone been to the Ghibli Museum just outside of Tokyo? I just got four tickets for my family(I am not a strong anime fan)but I was told by many to go see it. Is it good?

I thought Spirited Away was like the Anime equivalent of Alice in Wonderland... but not as retarded... It was decent. I do agree Mononoke was better.

i agree, i didn't really get this movie, and I like alot of out there anime. Kind of like A.I. or Lost in Translation to me in that I just don't grasp / appreciate the meaning.
