Splinter Cell Double Agent Help

Does Splinter Cell DA require internet access to run the game? For me if I do not give it internet access it will not load and I will be forced to reboot the computer. I can't even kill/end the process as it just gets stuck. So far I completely hate the Unreal system.

Bump. Anyone having the same problems if they block internet access for Splinter Cell DA?

Not sure... I do remember Quake 4 having to connect to the internet every time it started to validate the key, and it did it without you knowing it. But when that was blocked everything was fine so who knows what's going on now.
