Good luck, guys. I thought to myself when I first saw this deal "cool, but I don't really *like* these games." and moved on. I even added them to the cart to test out the mistake

And then I realized (after they fixed the error) that I need MechAssault to get MAME on my XBOX.

Nooooooo.

I got my instore confirmation for 4 of the 8 games I odered so I hurried over to BB to pick them up, No problems there.
When I got home I called BB customer service and asked them if they could check to see if another local store had them in stock so I could pick them up, I was then told that my order would be canceled because of a software error and all orders placed that had the $5 games would be valid minus the $5 games.
He them saw that I had already picked up 4 of them and asked me if I had opened them yet, Of course I told him the kids were playing them as we speak.
He then said that BB will probably charge the balance owed if I didn't return them, After I told him I wouldn't agree to that at all ( not in those words LOL) he said " I guess I don't know what they can do but they will send you an e-mail when they figure it out.
I placed two orders, one saturday and one sunday, The Sunday order is the one that went thru, the saturday order was canceled today.

I think he is stating that he doesn;t believed that a BB CSR asked you if you opened your games yet and said that they were going to charge you the full price for the ones you picked up. Maybe?

Well if he thinks I'm BSing about it then he would be wrong.
I don't have a reason to BS anyone, that's not my style. The guy I talked to on the other hand was trying to BS me into returning the games.

Now that I got 4 I'm getting greedy, I really want the other 4 games that I ordered for in-store pickup which weren't at my local best. My order is still open on the BB web site, I wonder if they'll process it when ever there is more in-stock. I was going to call customer service but not im tempted not too...

Ditto that! You can only screw it up by calling customer service...no need to send up any red flags. Just let the deal come to you my friend.

Got my confirmation email. Got a 2nd email saying everything is backordered and will be shipped by 1/13. All the prices seem to be correct. Rock on.

Well, BB is screwing me on this deal.
I did an in store pickup for 4 games and paid $21.20 now they are charging me $81.20 on my debit card.
I call BB CSR and they won't budge, I either return the games or they charge me the full price because the price was a mistake and they quote the user policy stated on the website.
Errors on Our Site
Prices and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and Best Buy reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted and whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Best Buy will issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the charge. Individual bank policies will dictate when this amount is credited to your account. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return it in accordance with Best Buys Return Policy.

They are saying I have to return the games or I will be charged full price for them end of story< they won't adjust the charge or even discuss it.
I talked to my banks CSR and they said I can dispute it when I get my statement but until then they can't do anything about it.
He seems to think I have a good chance of getting the charge taken off since they will have to show a signed receipt for the charge and I only signed for $21.20 but I lose my money then.
Anyone ever had this happen before?

I dont care what best buy says in their disclaimer. They can say whatever they want on a disclaimer. They can say frogs will fly out their ass in their disclaimer. There is nothing ILLEGAL about disclaimers. IT is ILLEGAL to overcharge someones card. They cant just charge your card more than the amount agreed upon. Did you make a copy of your order and confirmation number? If so, take it to your bank, they will fix it. I work for a major bank and hope they try to charge my card more than what I agreed upon. Best Buy has every right to cancel an order. they have ZERO right to overcharge.

Yeah I kept copies of everything and although they can't do it they did, so now I have to dispute the charge after it's processed by the bank, My Bank CSR seems to think it shouldn't be a problem but will take time.
He said they will have to show proof that I approved of the transaction and I have proof saying I only approved $21.20.
They just temporarily hijacked some of my money.

Just checked my order status online and saw that it has switched from "In Process" to "Cancelled". Can't say that I blame them. Good luck to everyone else on this deal, and congrat's to those who recieved the goods.
