The hardest part really is knowing how a creature operates given it's bone and flesh structure. Everything else is easy. In fact, I don't see why he can't take it a step further and pursue multiple galaxies. If it's all player-driven content, then there should be plenty of room. EVE has 5000+ solar systems, and that's developer-made content.

Considering the money that must have gone into coding that, I bet you'll have to pay for it. If they kept it reasonable, I don't see that as being that much of a problem. Just have a way of rating people's world's/galaxies and $5 for a whole lot of content (free for the developers) wouldn't be that onerous.
I suddenly want to play a modern video game when it comes out... I haven't been this excited since KOTOR II.
