They give you 10 cents to start (and whenever you hit zero), which is essentially "fake" money you can bet on whatever. If you make more than $20 you can "cash out" (they'll write you a check). IIRC this is considered a sweepstakes kind of thing (since the initial money is fake), so legal (read: not considered gambling).

You won't actually make tons of money (obviously), but it's fun. Gets you to care about games you wouldn't care about otherwise

completely legit. i've been using it for a few months and gotten up to about $4. you can only start with that 10 cents and can't put any money into it, so that's how they get around gambling regulations.

Sounds like fun. I'm not a big gambler but I like to play with a little more than that. If you play parlays you can bet small amounts but have a chance to win pretty big. For example a 5-team parlay pays 25/1, so you can win $250 from a $10 bet. Of course, every one of your 5 picks has to win, so it's not easy , but good entertainment for a Sunday.
