So long as you're buying something every so often, I can't imagine they'd really care. At least, that's the argument I'd make.

To sleep, I'd buy a pair of cowboy boots and set them in a stall and rig a small hammock up there and snooze....but not at night....middle of the day when it wouldn't look as conspicuous.

Reminds me of that movie (Where the Heart is) with Natalie Portman where she sleeps at the Wal-Mart (forget how long) using items here and there and writing I-O-U's for everything she took or ate. The WalMart was not open 24/7 though.
