In the past, I always liked Sprint's network but didn't care for their phone selection. Once they started picking up with the Evo (got one at launch), I was a pretty happy camper aside from some quirks I didn't like with Android as a whole. But in the past six months to a year, their network has gone to crud in my area. I didn't notice it much since I was using a hacked PRL to get on Verizon's network at my girlfriend's house, but now that I've switched back to a stock Sprint PRL I'm lucky to hit above 200kbps, but often hover around 100kbps or less speeds on 3G.
If they manage to beef up their capacity with new income I'm all for it, but I'm kinda dreading an iPhone 4/5 release here since my speeds keep getting slower and slower. I was still planning on keeping Sprint for a slightly cheaper plan and higher data caps, but if I can't get actually use the network then it's no good
For those wondering, per a conversation I had with that rep in the nastygram call, Sprint seems like they might start enforcing their 5GB soft cap as they do their 300MB roaming cap. Basically, go over 5GB in network for 3+ months and they can cancel your contract. Now, I dunno how often they're going to actually enforce that seeing as how it took them many months and gigs of data to realize I was roaming on Verizon all the time, but it's something to think about for those of you who might exceed that 5GB limit.
