I guess they are trying to get rid of old stock, so they've lowered the price to 150 dollars, its a great phone, i love mine. Its basically a Palm VIIx (8 mb) plus tri-mode phone.

i had this to replace my palm IIIx and a phone...
but i just couldn't get used to the bulkiness.
so i returned it.

i paid 150... about a year ago... so... the price definately seems right.
but... if you guys are interested in getting one...
make sure you get it from a vendor that won't give you problem returning... if you are not satisfied.

if you can get used to its bulkiness...
then hey... it's a phone and pda in one.
for 150 ... or 99 ... you can't go wrong.

nice deal, good price, kinda tired of my current sprint phone and it would be excellent to have a combo device, but do you know if it can be Sync'ed like regular palms (with my pc) and if it has the IR dealie etc??

yup, it can be hotsynced just like any other palm, and it has an IR port so you can be beaming stuff until the cows come home. You should know however, that the hotsync is only serial out of the box, I believe there is a USB version, but it will cost you extra.

Great phone! I have the same one on Verizon's network. The phone is a little large compared to most cellular phones, but it's smaller than carrying a cell phone and PDA. Plus I can browse the web, send/check pop email and do it all with a nice large screen, compared to most cell phones.

With the Amazon deal you have to sign up for service to get the rebate and gift certificate. I'm thinking they're clearing these out in preparation for 3G. This phone, unfortunately, won't take advantage of the benefits of 3G (at least I don't think it will be upgradeable [sp?]).

3G is the new technology sprint is rolling out in the summer, that among other things, will have data speeds of up to 144kbs. Right now you can only get 14.4kbs data speeds on the current tech.

Anyone know of any places that sell this phone that also accept coupons (Staples, Office Depot, etc)? Seems like most places have it for $150 now, so it'd be an even sweeter deal if we can use a coupon too

Some Sprint PCS offices have this phone for $159 (and you can use their $70 towards a new phone credit) to get it for $89.

It wasnt worth the %15 restocking fee for me to do it (mines still at $99)

But I do like that you can use your OWN ISP (if you have one) and not pay any extra for mobile e-mail or web. You just use your regular phone mins, and no extra PCS web fee's. You can also access the Palm address book, and just tap a phone number to call, or email address, to send one. And the speaker phone is too cool. Can talk, while playing with the Palm Pilot stuff to look up info.

I like it better then AT&T already. Same coverage area, clearer sounding phone.
