Quite simply, I work for Sprint. I figure it works on this forum as a hot deal, because nearly all the rebates and coupons are work arounds, so is working for Sprint.

FYI:

I have 2 phones and just got for $30/ea.

450/2000
8PM
LD
500 PCS to PCS
wireless web on 1 phone $5
plus 15% volume discount from work
1 yr contract

No more FIMF. They are getting really tough to deal with.

If one got a sprint retention deal, is it possible to get a new phone and get the same deal on the new phone (i.e. so have 2 phones now, so for instance, I could give me old phone to my parents)

Does anyone know of a good way for a new customer to get a good Sprint plan (better than the ones offered at stores with activation) and get a free (or cheap) phone? I've been with AT&T for a while now but their phone selection is terrible and the plans aren't great either. Plus I'd get 18% off any sprint plan because I'm enrolled at one a college that Sprint is affiliated with.

I had a problem with poor reception with a sprint pcs phone- and i live in metro KC.

So I called, told them of the hole at my house, and within 4 weeks a tech guy was on my block analyzing the signal, and about a week after that- bingo! full reception, even inside my house (which is not what they guarantee).

Anyway, moral of the story is that if you have a hole, let them know- they will try to fix it.

Also, if you get a dropped call, be sure to call *2 immediately and get 50 cents credit- doesn't sound like alot, but if you have 4 dropped calls a week, that's about 8 bucks off your bill- monthly!

*2 calls are free. Even if they did charge, isn't losing 1 minute worth 50 cents?

He said 4 a week. So $2 x 4 = $8. Yes, it is.

Greetings, everyone

I just bought a phone, not yet activated. Wanted to activate it then do the "days-later-ask-for-deals" thing. Wondering if anyone who got the 450at/2000nw/8pm or better at 30$/month can kindly PM me his/her phone # and name in case they ask me.
What I can do is to use that customer as my referral (You get $20 and $10 for me). Wanted to link that from Sprintpcs here but afraid not allowed here. You can search using "sprintpcs referral" in google to find details. I'll try my best to avoid coming to this step though.

Thanks alot!

After being a new customer for 3 days on a one-year contract for their regular $34.99 plan, I tried 2 calls (last night, this morning), no success. They're getting tough right now. 2nd time it was a young guy and I thought it was almost there. Then he said 'let me transfer you to the right dept...' then as the 1st time, that guy just offered me the $39.99 plan posted on their website. They kept telling thay don't have any plan like 350at/2000nw, (I didn't even say 8PM) and they could only offer what they have.

I feel their policy has changed. They guy answering your phone seems not to have the power any more but need to transfer you to some upper level, which is not nice...

Any thoughts, experiences?? Maybe I should lower my expectation more?

I've been a customer for 2+ years, and I called Sprint the other day to see if they could offer me any good retention rates. I currently have 200 anytime/2800 night & weekends for $29.99, and he said the only thing he could offer me was 500/3000 for $35.99. While that's not a bad deal, I passed it up because I wanted to stay away from actually paying more.

It's either the economy, or people have called so often from the AT effect that Sprint's being a lot stricter on giving out good plans.

I used to have Sprint PCS. Unfortunatelly I lost my phone. I called the to stop the service so I do not get any fraudulent charges. Then I decided to go with VoiceStream and called Sprint back to permenantly cancel my service. What they did was - send me a brand new phone for nothing - just to keep me as a customer. Not a lot of companies are going to do this.
