Yep, I also have a Vision capable phone (Sanyo 4900) but didn't take any of the plans with the Vision option. I'll let them iron out all the bugs first and maybe check into it later. This is one awesum phone though and its a hugh improvement over my old SCH-3500. They asked me if I wanted that option but decided to wait. You would think they would be really pushing this though, I'm suprised they don't offer it in a retension plan.
Have the Sanyo 4500 and data cable to connect to laptop.
This is not the newer 3G phone.
Using $5 a month wireless web, and it works well for laptop connection to the net, but is super slow at around 14k to 19k.
Using wireless web, there is no charge for data transfered, only uses normal phone minutes.
Question is, if using the 4900 3G model in same manner, would laptop then connect at the faster 140k speeds, simply by
staying with the wireless web option, and not going with Vision? That way, no extra charge for data, simply uses your minutes
just like a regular phone call.
Sprint has ways of trying to charge for some things that could be free.
Good example is voice dialing.
The Sanyo's have it built-in, so you get voice dialing without paying the extra fee.
Yet they still try to get you to sign up for voice dialing option.
Is this 3G wireless web/Vision along those same lines?
