I need my unlimited PCS to PCS. 500 minutes won't cut it. I *would* like to add first incoming minute free and change night and weekend hours to begin at 8pm. Do you think they would work this out with me, considering my contract doesn't end for a few months?
does one specifically have to talk to the retention department to get these deals? I think my 1-year AA just ended and my 200/3000/$30 is not enough (the minutes I mean). I need to transfer service to my new phone but am looking for sprint to credit my account for it since my old phone seemed to be dying.
my nites start at 9 pm. Anyway, I just called to transfer service and they said that my agreement had ended back in February of 2003. She offered a new plan that had 300/unlimited N&W for the same price. I told her to bump up the anytime minutes but she said that she cannot do that. I guess the retention department would be better for the bargaining. Im just concerned that theyll cancel my service without trying to sell a retention plan. Only reason I would be concerened is because I dont want to lose my cell number.
Davemeister is right. Read my earlier posts on this page. The first time I called, I got regular cust. service, and she said "OK, your service will be cancelled on August 6th.", then hung up the phone! I was pissed.
Then, I called back, and talked to someon in retention. They didn't give me the deal I wanted. They gave me an OK deal, but I wasn't finished. So when I called back a third time, I lied, told them I had called earlier, and told them that they had offered me the 750/3000/8pm/spr to spr/ plan (when they really hadn't). She said OK, and hooked it up.
Now, it could have been that the woman I talked to (see earlier post on this page for her name) was SUPER NICE. Or it could have been she bought my story, and that is what they were trained to do. Either way, I've got the stated plan, and I'm THRILLED about it. Also, if they do say "OK, we are going to cancel your service", then you can just call back and tell em you changed your mind. That's what I had to do.
Also, my agreement wasn't up until NOVEMBER. The first woman I talked to said "You know you are going to have to pay the $150 early termination fee". I was like, well, I need more minutes. Since she was reg. cust. svc., she had no idea about giving me a better plan. So when Claire answers the phone, MAKE SURE that she understands, and connects you to retention!
Have some fun with it. Good luck!
