Couldn't have said it better. But, he is a good coach and as a Dawg fan, I hope we might actually be able to beat UF once in a while now.

It makes perfect sense for Spurrier (Superior) to go to the Bucs. He was their first QB after they became a franchise.

But I hate to see Tony Dungy leave. Hope that is just a rumor. Tony Dungy is a good man and a good coach.

The true "Mouth of the South". Originally from Tennessee, Spurrier won the Heisman while a QB at Florida. One of the most reviled men of all time in the Volunteer State, he frustrated the hell out of Phillip Fulmer and crew out of Knoxville. UT fans actually hate Spurrier much more than Adolph Rupp or Bear Bryant.

I remember last year when he ran the score up on Kentucky. He said "They were blitzing on every down so they deserved it."

Spurrier may have talked a lot of trash, but he backed it up. Hate to see him go. Beating Florida made victory that much sweeter with him on the sidelines.

Boy I never expected this one. I was shocked. As a UF alum, I am sad to see him go.

I hope this doesn't adversely affect our future recruiting or ability to hold onto our current players.

And as a Bucs fan, it would be weird seeing Steve coach there. I cannot imagine Steve getting in Brad Johnson's face like he tends to do with his QBs.

There is a difference between Notre Dame and Florida

Florida was voted #1 (By the COACHES) as the best job to have in the country.

Notre Dame was #5

If nobody goes into the NFL, they'll return 9 starters on the best offense in the country.

Anyone with any amount of coaching talent will keep them in the hunt for the national title - even with the nations toughest schedule next year.

I would love to see Bob Stoops come back to Florida - and he probably will.

Looks like Dan Snyder is also interested in Spurrier for the Redskins.

Snyder has no patience. I wasn't very thrilled to have Shottenheimer as a head coach in Washington but now it seems as though he and the team are working on the same page and they could probably make it to the play-offs next year if they really put some effort into building up their offense and keeping their defense healthy.

I would love for Stoops to come to Florida. the Gators had the best defense they ever put on the field when he was the assistant and he shown he can win as a head coach. At least we won't have to deal with rotating quarterbacks
