SQL variations question

This is probably a dumb question. I'm doing some research on MySQL database vulnerabilities. Should I be conserned about the vulnerabilities I see in other versions of SQL? Like Microsoft SQL and what not. I don't think I need to concern myself with them, but I've never done any work with databases or security, so I just don't want to screw this up and get the professor mad at me Thanks!

Just like MS SQL, MySQL is not perfect. There are vulnerabilities in MySQL as well.

I know there are vulerabilities, but if I read that MS SQL has vulerability X, do I need to worry about MySQL having that same vulerability, or a variant of it? Thats what I'm trying to ask. Sorry if I made the question ambiguous.

No, there's no relation between the two except the word SQL in the title.

And SQL is an international standard that most RDBMS implement.
