SSL VPN with no Static IP

Hi all,

Trying to mess around with SSL VPN, cisco's online documentation guides seemed to suggest that a static IP is needed, since it only showed how to enable it for a particular IP. Is it possible to try out SSL VPN without a static IP?

Another question, Cisco's documentation guide talks about how to enable intranet / owa services for SSL VPN users, so even in full tunnel mode it's not a replacement for the Cisco VPN client where I wanted the client to behave just like another part of the LAN?

Does your SSL VPN product run on the same device that gets the dynamic IP from your ISP or does it run behind your router/firewall?

If it's behind your router/firewall and you just port forward in it shouldn't matter what the external IP is. As long as it can connect in (dynamic DNS would work nicely here) it should be OK. If the SSL VPN device *is* your firewall then it's possible it might act oddly with a dynamic IP.

Unfortunately it is my firewall device that's going to be doing SSL VPN Well, I guess it's time for me to look for something else to mess around with!! Thanks!!
