I'd ask him for his name and his store number, then call corporate, This is a chain-wide sale--he has no right to do that.

I got the display model .. wasn't even used... they had a heck of a time finding the box (they finally found it tonight) AND they have one coming from WV to that store on Monday. ... I'll pick it up during lunch tomorrow but as an FYI to anyone in the Pgh area, there will be at least one more coming our way. I'll post the store # info 2morrow so someone else can take advantage of this deal of the year... much better than the Palm IIIxe for $149 last year IMHO!

Actually it was $42.49 after tax & shipping/handling.
I figured I better be safe and get it just in case I have to send it in for repairs or need support.

I can't believe I still got one. I've been calling all over the state and one place the manager said "We don't have any, but there's one being transfered here." I asked if it was already sold/held and he said "No, do you want me to call you when it gets here?". I responded "You bet" of course and he kept his promise and when I called today (when it was expected in) and he went through the transfer box and there she was. Yeah! I gave him all the billing & shipping info and he's shipping it out free. I got the serial number from him and ordered the Pocket PC 2002 upgrade right away.

Well, at least for the upgrade, I feel safer since they state it will completely void the warranty.

I wish the 128MB upgrade for these wasn't so much ($299 ouch). I guess I'll have to switch between CF memory and CF wireless LAN.

No, this model includes the CF sleeve. Actually so does the 3135, so it must be any model that ends in 35. It does add some bulk, but it's so slim without it, that it isn't that bad with it. Also, I'm thinking of modifying it so it's smaller and can fit in the "naked" Vaja wallet that I want. It's still expensive for a case, but I like it and it's 20% off.

yep comes with cf adapter sleeve thing, usb cradle, extra stylus, and i had to check over the box contents and ask for an ac adaptor.

ya the included pouch makes it all a bit bulky, the palms and visors you can just flip on the cap and stick in your pocket. luckily i have big cargo pockets but i dont know how im gonna stick this thing in my jeans..

Ya, I also saw something about a do it yourself kit for $35. You take the case apart and you use the casing they give you and you can always reassemble the original one yet. I'm trying to find it again.

My sears pm a 3635 for me but they were out, so they sold me the unit in another store. When I got there, there was no 3635. They made a mistake and they gave me the 3765 instead. This goes for $499, so $349 is a good deal. However, there is no rebate, so that's my final cost. What's the difference between the two? Should I keep it?

update: the 3635 comes with the CF Sleeve and the 3765 doesn't (a $49 value)... keep that in mind.
so i guess the 3765 is valued at $548 if the sleeve was included... right?

I need a link or picture or scanned reciepts to prove it to RS.
RS website shows these at original price, not on sale.
Please post where you bought yours with store location and phone number.
I am going to RS in a few hours to see if they will give me the sale price, but I can foresee problems if there is no written "proof."

The 3765 is a great deal for $349. It's the new one with Pocket PC 2002. It has 64MB RAM and 32MB ROM, but no CF sleeve. You won't get a rebate either. Still an awesome deal for that model. Esp if you don't want the extra bulk of the CF. Of course depending on what you're doing, maybe 64MB isn't enough either and you need the CF sleeve and CF memory. Not as good a deal then.

I installed ActiveSync 3.5 and no single problem under Win2K. The one included with the ipaq is 3.1. I am also runnind PPC 2.07 and is rock solid so far (cross finger) I will probably flash the rom back to 1.77 though since I want the warranty!

Anyone try the update to 2002. I got the 3.5 activesync or whatever, but when I install the os upgrade. it says it cant find my rom image? anyone else get this?
