I'm unfamiliar with AMEX's PM policy so could someone clarify -

Even though Insight does not carry this product in stock, we can still buy the 3635 at Staples and receive a PM from AMEX?



If so, is anybody interested in a monochrome 3135?

I'm wondering the same thing about AMEX priematching Insight...but right now the 3635 isn't even listed on Insight's website...so does anyone know anyplace else on the internet it may be listed for close to that price (non-refurb)? I need to pricematch with Staples in my area. TIA

The PM policy they refer to is the Amex Blue card Best Value Guarantee policy: if you find a cheaper price on an item you buy with the Blue card within 60 days of purchase, you can call Amex up and file a claim for the difference. They will not honor the guarantee if the purchase store has a "best price" or price match policy. So getting this at Staples or anywhere they have a PM policy will not help. You send in a copy of the receipt and the ad where you find the cheaper price after getting a claim number. I have used this twice to save $68. My ipaq 3635 will end up costing about $140 plus taxes!

I would like to get it but I don't know about compaq's rebate for $150 ...

But I still don't know about the "Order upon request" part ...
For $291 with the $150 rebate this would still be GREAT even with something like ~$10 shipping ...

Did anyone actually buy the ipaq from insight?

And I am still hoping for a reply about compaqs factory outlet ...

I was lucky enough to have Staples PM it with Insight for me without shipping. I got the last one they had, but apparently the
store in Alexandria, VA (Jefferson Davis HWY) still has some.

BTW, I got this PM deal two days ago.. havn't had time to post until now.

I called Insight last week to inquire about the order time for the 3635. Insight is not shipping the $291 iPAQ 3635 until after to1/31/2002 o late for the iPAQ $150.00 MIR.

Well it would be okay for them to ship on 01/31 if they include a sales/shipping reciept dated BEFORE 01/26.

BTW Some Office Depot have it in Stock for $499

Office Depot only PM's within 7 days of purchase, and usually only to local stores.
I.e. I got mine from office depot because I could show them the reciept from the open box one I got at radio shack, and then return the opened one to radio shack.

Sears is much better with their PM's. They do match online, and I think within 30 days.

If I had a recent reciept I would help you but mine is from December 1.

I just got my Blue PM for $58 as they approved my PM to Insight. I sent a copy of the webpage and a copy of the price quote from Insight. Radio Shack $350-$58PM-$150Compaq rebate=$142 plus taxes. Sweet!

sorta OT: Is anyone else having trouble with ActiveSync? I'm having a ton of problems consistently syncing my Ipaq using ActiveSync 3.5 and XP!?!? Makes me want to go back to my Handspring! :disgust:
