I still continue to wonder that if all of the above accusations are true, why in the hell has no one pressed charges? Its not like you can claim battered wife syndrome or something because it involves multiple different people.

I can think of a couple of reasons.

1) They're afraid of retaliation.
2) It's just not worth it for the slap on the wrist he'd get....and then there's #1.

I'd think lawyers would be all over it looking to cash in. I know a few people who post on this forum who would donate significantly to the cause.

He's expecting us to process the information that's there as well as the assumptions he pulls out of his ass.

This forum has certainly convinced me that public schools should have a mandatory "logical reasoning" course. Too many people here and elsewhere clearly have no idea what "context" means, or the difference between assumption, inference and fact, among other vital methods of reasoning.

Best thing is, the teachers wouldn't have to do much. Tons of legitimately fun educational games out there for kids that teach these very concepts. Unfortunately most parents are more quick to buy an XBox.

I might agree with you except for the fact that it's public knowledge that GZ's previous lawyers haven't been paid. That might give them pause.

I tend to see things from the most rational perspective. Is it more believable that about 7 different people who considered George a friend at one point are purposefully lying about him. Or is it more likely that George is a violent abusive individual? You decide.

Of course anyone without bias, or at least able to recognize their bias, would say that the bolded is possible. Is it likely in the least considering what we know of the incident, no, but obviously it is possible. It is also "possible" that there was a 3rd party present who actually shot TM and he and GZ had a very good plan to get away with it. Possible but not plausible.

It's possible, but that would require that either Jeantel lied under oath about basically everything or Zimmerman is a teleporting wizard or a supernatural ninja living in a bubble of silence.

The race baiters (who refuse to take Zimmerman's race in to account) are desperate for him to be incarcerated for something.

Sad he had to kill Trayvon, in a perfect world Martin would still be alive and Georgie could have possibly been his mentor and someone he looked up to for inspiration on how to be a real thug. Trayvon was a wanna be, work in progress at best. Now Georgie? He's the real deal.

As to none of the other people ultimately pressing charges against Zimmerman, do you really blame him? Press charges and if he doesn't go to prison he's coming after you, I mean he doesn't even make an attempt to hide his anger and violence problems.

Saw this last night.

....I mean, I could agree with a nugget of his complaints about how his life has been since he murdered Martin, the media did fuck him over quite thoroughly in some ways...but then I also saw that his suit is based on the rantings of a conspiracy nutter that put out one of those "self-funded, self-produced, certainly never validated documentaries" that loudly tells you that only they know the truth?

Obviously ridiculous, especially to go after the family of the son that he murdered. Yeah, there is a nugget of unfairness in the way that Zimmerman was treated--something that he largely invited himself, as shitbags tend to have shitty things happen to them--but at the end of the day, he's still breathing and the Martin family lost their son, because of him.

His life isn't worse, so fuck that guy.

He's being supported and egged on by conservative media and conservative organizations. If that wasn't the case, he'd probably have disappeared into obscurity a long while ago.

I am quite certain it's impossible for the subject of a high profile acquittal to land or keep a job. Someone will recognize... and someone will hate. And no employer wants that. So then, how does life continue without an income? Honestly, becoming a MAGA celebrity may be the only "way out" of a desperate financial situation in this case.

I'd rather see that this did not occur, but our society promotes it in every way. From the automatic and permanent guilt following any trail, to the systematic financial destruction of ex-cons, to the sort of vile and predatory means they can and need to exploit for survival. Just another day on planet earth. My Basic Income and Housing plans, applicable to all Americans, would resolve at least one link in this ugly cycle of events. Those ostracized from society would at least have a rock bottom to hit, one that does not motivate them to seek out such repulsive allies or to commit such acts of desperation.
